This Everstart inverter is amazing. I used this to charge my walkie talkies when I was at my cabin in the mountains that has no electricity. This is easy to use and small enough to take with me every time I go out of town. I will be buying these as gifts for all my family.
This 400w inverter is great for busy ppl. Rather you're capping, taking a road trip or even using a makeshift mobile office like me this is perfect. It can power up my laptop and even has USB ports for other devices. For higher powered device, a battery clamp is included. I love that it comes with an extra fuse just in case I plug in Something not compatible
The EverStart 400W inverter is a nice size for keeping in the car or truck for basic power needs. It works well for things like laptops, phones, battery chargers, lights, and other small electronics. The display is useful for keeping an eye on battery voltage and load. The biggest limitation is the 400-watt output, so it's not made for heaters, microwaves, larger power tools, or anything with a big startup surge. It's also modified sine wave, so some sensitive electronics may not like it. For everyday light-duty use, though, it's compact, easy to use, and does what it's supposed to do without taking up much space.
This inverter is perrect for charging via direct battery or through a 12V port (cigarette lighter) in your vehicle. I can charge two USB devices without issues via the two 3.1 amp USB ports on the inverter. It also has 2 AC plugs for small appliances but it's only for up to 400W. Just keep that in mind. It has fuses to prevent device overload and unwanted spike charges to your electrical system so you should be fine. Just read the instructions for the types of devices you can plug in to the inverter.
This 400W version is basically perfect if you don't need a massive power setup. It's small enough to just throw under your seat or in the glove box, but it still easily powers your laptop, camera batteries, or tablet on a road trip. Super simple to plug in, super reliable, and just an easy, stress free thing to keep in the car for emergency backup.
The EverStart 400w inverter is very handy to have around. It's very easy to set up, and even easier to use. It has two plugs and even has some HDMI outlets as well. This came in handy on a recent camping trip. I plugged the adapter to the 12v in the trunk of my car, and I was able to charge a few things with the car running.
The everstart 400w inverter is a cool little inverter. I recently brought this one on a camping trip with me to test it with another more powerful one and this one did a solid job with what I have. If you dont need a big amount of power this will work for you. I also like how it has a cigarette attachment if you need it.
"Nice, compact design. This inverter works great to charge smaller devices (around 100W) with the included 12V cigarette adapter. If you want the full 400W, the battery clamp cables are included. It is easy to install using the mounting tabs on the body, or you can just use it as a portable unit. It seems to be built pretty well; only time will tell how reliable it is."
supposedly this thing's rated for 400 watts continuous power with a surge of 800 watts. it won't do it, it cuts out with only 174 Watts, it drains the batteries because the efficiency is well below the 85% efficient they claim! save your money and get the electric company to connect your power for you this thing is a big waste of money and nothing but! A fan of EverStart no more.
Received the wrong item in the box. 100W Inverter. Real bummer. Waited too long to return it as electronics have a shorter time span so I'm down the full cost.
