EverStart 951W 100 Amps 12 Volts

My car was requiring jump start almost every week after sitting over the weekend. I had checked the battery terminals, and all was good with the connections. As I had noticed after further looking for a reason of the battery looking charge, I found some corrosion at the edge of the ground cable. The ground terminal had been replaced by the car sales lot and was a bolt on type. I stripped the insulation back a few inches to find the corrosion was about two inches into to cable. I had cleaned the cable but noted it was not able to reach into the middle of it. This helped but with the mornings being much colder than prior weeks, it began showing more problems, other lights on dash were now noticed. I charged the battery overnight and found this cable saver to order. Sence cutting off the damaged cable and replacing it with the cable saver, I have had no further problems with starting the car even after sitting over the long weekend. The dash lights that had been noted were no longer showing and I now have no concerns of replacing my battery or alternator. Just would have liked a heavier built clamp for the post connection.

I used this to splice two wires together before it goes on the post. If you aren't comfortable to solder and heat shrink it I'd say this is the next best thing. safe and easy. just put in the copper wire, tighten it and cover with the thick silicone sleeves. it's held up for about 5 months so far. you can always tape the silicone sleeves in place if you want but they haven't really needed it in my experience.

This was very easy to use after cutting off the terminals and stripping off the rubber insulation. Looked up a video to be sure i was doing it right.

Good product, the price is right. I had a bad end of wire on the negative and this allowed me to splice right in and replace.

uses a flathead screwdriver to connect to cable. this is a replacement to another same unit due to post clamp falling apart. lasted 4 years though..like a 20 min install. easy way to go.

Good quality, right price over all was very happy with order.

This is a easy part to install and is a temporary fix.
