With years in the automotive business, got to say the lead terminals of past were sufficient, but reality nothing is as conductive as copper and or brass. I do appreciate copper terminals, however the problem with copper is to soft and same as lead, tends to crack if tighter or reused a few times changing batteries. The BRASS is the best of all worlds, reason being extremely conductive, and holds up way better then copper because as most know brass is a compost of metals, harder, sturdier so basically a one and done update to anyone needing to change a broken terminal or making new battery cables.

This battery terminal looks great! It shines like gold! This terminal is very easy to install. This terminal offers two bolts to quickly and securely attach the battery cable to the terminal. The lead attachment clamp fits battery cables gauge 1 through 6. The post connector securely fits either the positive or negative terminal of the battery. One bolt pinches the terminal connector to the battery post insuring both a solid electrical connection and fit. This battery terminal is the perfect replacement for worn or corroded battery terminals. Installation requires only minutes with proper tools. This terminal is the perfect replacement size for most auto and many marine applications. As this terminal is made from brass, it doesn’t require extra corrosion protection. Brass inherently resists corrosion. This brass battery terminal looks great! It works great! Very satisfied.

Everstart is a brand I trust. High quality brass material makes the connection unbreakable, durable, and corrosion resistant. The cable clamp is flared which makes it easy to fit the battery cable inside and dimpled in the center to insure a tight connection. The brass bolts are good size for the cable clamp and post so they won't get stripped. The bolt head for the post sits about 40% of the way into the clamp so you don't need a tool on that side. From a design standpoint it should sit 100% and tighter so the side of the seat doesn't get worn. But this is not a big issue because if that happens you still reverse the direction of this bolt. Because the terminal is brass you need to put a bit more strength into tightening the bolt on the terminal post as it is not a soft metal. But once you put it on and your battery is strong, you won't have any brake in your circuit here with this heavy-duty clamp.

This battery terminal is brass. It is the replacement type for typical top post batteries as shown in my attached photo. It it the type of replacement battery terminal that has the feature on the back end that captures the stranded wires between a two bolt plate. It is a good alternative because it reuses the cable that is already attached to the starter or body ground. I recommend this battery terminal.

This top post battery terminal was exactly what I needed for my car's battery. The battery was not old, yet was not allowing my vehicle to start confidently. The previous terminal was steel and had worn through from all the corrosion. This EverStart Top Post Battery Terminal is made of brass, so it is more likely to wear better than the terminal that came originally on the battery. I had never replaced a battery terminal before, yet the easy to follow instructions on the back of the package were so precise and clear, that I couldn't have made a mistake. The terminal is well manufactured, and the screws tighten perfectly, bringing my old battery to life again. I'm very pleased with the manufacture and quality of the EverStart Top Post Brass Battery Terminal.

The product has only one terminal! If you want to replace both positive and negative terminals, make sure you buy two. That being said, the terminal itself is of great quality. It is nicely finished and polished very well. I don't see any burrs or bad grindings. All the contours are precisely machined/forged/casted. It is also very hefty in hand. Much better than the cheap flimsy OEM terminals that will melt with a little bit of rust and corrosion. This is a one time job for the life of the car. But do remember to spray the connection with dielectrical grease to keep water and gas release from the battery away.

I received this product to evaluate for free, but all comments and opinions are my own. This copper battery terminal works great. After cleaning out the positive battery post, this fits perfectly. The screw connections in the back connect to the car cable easily (have to make some minor adjustment). Works geat! Wish they include both terminals in the same package. Highly recommended!

Excellent Brass Top post Battery terminal. Connect very easy, being Brass the conductivity is far superior then your regular type of terminal. Also look great under the hood. Only takes minutes to install. Fits either terminal post, positive or negative. Great in cold winter months because of Conductivity . Just Prefect Pluses for this Terminal

I used the Everstart brass battery terminal to replace the positive terminal on my vintage Ford F100. It had cracked and needed to be replaced. The Everstart terminal is a bright, shiny, well finished one. It was easy to use and the replacement went well. It could have had a bit larger inside diameter as it spread pretty wide when applied to the post. I did get a nice tight fit though. The only thing that I really think needs to be addressed it that (2)1/4"-20 brass nuts need to be provided for the cable clamp. Brass is soft material, and the threaded part of the clamp does not allow getting the clamp really tight without pulling out the treads. Backing nuts solve that problem, and should be supplied. They need to be complementing brass so there is not a place for corrosion to start in dissimilar metals.

How this things work is not a secret, the are adjusted to the terminalls of the battery and transmit the current from the battery to the electrical components. One of the good things about this post being made of brass is that is not so prone to rust as the iron ones. Also being brass it has a good conductivity. However it is softer than regular top posts so it gets loose overtime. You need to check the tightness of this things periodically, which is a bit annoying.
