The Everstart rechargeable lithium-ion LED work light is a handy tool to keep on hand. It has a hook on the top to hang from and a magnetic base to keep it in place on metal surfaces. It is rechargeable from any USB charger and also comes with a charger that plugs into your auto lighter socket. The light is bright and the shape lends itself to being placed out of the way while still illuminating the work area. The off/on button is on the top and for some reason it took me a bit to locate it. I think this light is mostly pros as I cannot think of any cons.
There are two steps of brightness on this light. High is plenty bright when needed. Low is great for around the camp fire or in the tent at night. I tested the high setting and it went for 2 full hours, plus a bit more, before it quit. Low setting would have gone much much longer. Recharging from the 2 hour discharge drain down to dead, took a little longer than 3 hours using an Apple brand 12W (2.4 amp) iPad charger. I did not use the enclosed cigarette lighter charger (rated at 2.1 amp) because my personal vehicle shuts off all power ports when the key is off and I didn't feel like running my car that long for the test. So I don't have information on it's charging performance, but I would think it should be close to the same time. Pretty strong magnetic based to hold the light in place. I wish the attached hook was a bit smaller to get into tighter places, but it also has an eyelet on the top for your own wire hangers, if need be. I will caution you on this ONE issue. Because it doubles as a portable battery supply for charging cellphones and such, they are using the single USB port for charging the light's battery, and as the output from the battery to charge, say your cellphone. This means that you need a double ended USB-A power cord, THAT IS SUPPLIED. See picture. BUT IF YOU LOOSE THIS SUPPLIED CORD, or it breaks, the light can not be recharged. Where are you going to get another one? Well, you are NOT going to find one in the back of your old cell phone power charger drawer, or at the local gas station, you are going to have to dig one up from someplace like a local electronics/computer store, or online. You can get a cheap one because there is no data transfer concerns, just power for charging. But the light will be useless with out this cord. For now, I have the supplied cord that came with it attached to the light with a rubber band so I don't loose it.
Great quality and the price is right. I'm glad I bought one. Going to buy another! I LOVE IT!!
This light is very bright, so it works well even in daylight. The hook and the magnet means I can use it anywhere. It's lightweight and not too big, so I just throw it in my tool bag and go. The only thing I didn't like was the stupid sticker on the front, it was a pain in the rear to get all of the residue off.
I really like this light from the bright light to the magnetic base not to forget about the USB port for charging you phone in a pinch. I use it on my smoker to light up the grates for checking on the food.. All in all this is a handy light to have. The photo of the room was taken with only this light in a totally dark room.
This light is super bright, which comes in handy if you have to change a tire or do some work on your car in a dark area. It has both a hanging hook and a magnetic bottom, so you can hang it or set it down on a metal surface. It packed with features, including a long battery life, charge indicator, and it even has a USB port.
This light works well and charges fairly quickly. I recently used the light while trying to trace a water leak under my house. The Everstart light was easy to hold onto, and is light enough not to wear your arm muscle out trying to hold it at an angle for prolonged periods. I would definitely recommend against accidentally flashing the light around directly into your eyes, temporary blindness will follow. I like that I can recharge the light in my vehicle and plan to keep it there for emergencies, unloading groceries at night, and to have something to navigate the waters when we go night fishing on our little Jon boat. Overall a good purchase and I would recommend this light if you're in the market for one.
This light is really bright. It will light up a dark room. I just recently used it to do some repair under a sink. I did not need anybody to hold a flashlight while doing so. And had more enough light to do the job . It would also be a excellent light in a power outage for several hours. It is a versatile light with the hook and the magnetic base. They advertise the light to be working on vehicles but it is a versatile light to use in any situation.
This is a very convenient and useful work light. It takes about 4 hours to charge completely and will last about 2 hours with the LED lights on at full strength. It has a built-in USB for charging its and recharging cell phones Etc. It has a magnetic base and a convenient hook. The lights are bright and has a dimmer option. It says it can Flash or blink but I have not found a way to make it do that. Overall I I would recommend this.
The brightness is surprisingly good, it has 2 modes, a low and a high. The only thing I worry abour is the hard plastic material, I feel it will not survive many drops. There is a very thin layer of impact absorbing material, but not enough in my opinion.
