I bought this half rack conversion kit to use with my Titan Fitness X-3 squat stand, even though it is not the same brand, and I was able to make it work with some adjustments. I wanted to mention that clearly because compatibility was my main concern before buying. Overall, I am really happy with it. The quality looks good, it feels sturdy once assembled, and it adds a lot more functionality and stability to my setup. For the price, I think it brings great value. It gave my squat stand much more of a true half rack feel, and that has been a big upgrade for my home gym. It was not a perfect plug-and-play match with my Titan X-3 since this is a different brand, so be prepared to make small adjustments if you are mixing brands. But in my case, it was absolutely worth it and I am very satisfied with the final result. If you are comfortable doing a little tweaking to make it fit your rack, I would definitely recommend it.
buy 75 3/8" ID stainless steel washers from Walmart, five packs of 15. you'll need them to put one washer on each side of every bolt. unfortunately they are not included. this stiffens everything up better and will reduce rust. when I assembled this, which I bought solely for the purpose of doing pull-ups, I inverted the pull-up bar or I installed it backwards. my center of gravity is now in the center of the cage. I do not need sandbags or any kind of supports or weights on the rack itself because it does not wobble. this cage is made out of 16 gauge steel. make no mistake it's pretty cheap but it's still pretty well made. by changing the center of gravity I improved it a lot and you can too. invert the chin up bar when you install it. place chin up bar with handles facing in instead of facing out. face out when you do your pull-ups. good luck! I have this outdoors. uncovered. if you buy it for doing pull-ups, I recommend it.
First off, I was skeptical because some people were saying that the package arrived messed up which led to damaged parts. But not in this case! It was so well packaged that all the boxes were untouched by the delivery voyage it was in! It took me about two hours to build by myself and it was pretty straight forward as far as instructions go. Super pleased with this gym cage and excited to see how much weight it can hold with no problem!
I purchased this to use lifting moderate amounts of weight when I am home alone and don't have a spotter available. The 1,000 lb rating is more than adequate for this and it feels sturdy when used properly. For squats, bench press, pull ups and dips this rack works perfectly for me. I like the J-hook safety bars and have them situated just above my chest level as an added precaution. If you are looking to seriously max out your weight you may want something heavier duty, from shopping around these run more than double the cost of this unit and would definitely require spotters to do safely. For the price of around $300 delivered I couldn't pass this up as it adds a lot of versatility to my home workouts. I added a medium strength bench to this cage, be careful and make sure any you consider can handle your weight plus any you will be pressing.
I was disappointed the product did not arrive on time, other than that the rack is easy to assemble, is sturdy and it looks great, I really liked it.
For the price, the rack is a great deal. Since you get what you pay for, expect some issues with your product. One of the holes was not drilled and I had to drill through the metal myself. Also, the safety bars do not come with this product as described in the product photos.
I love the rack. It's heavy duty, made off much thicker metal than most on the market. Even the expensive brands tend not to have this weight and quality. Unfortunately the black one doesn't come with spotter arms. The the spotter arms have been sold out for a long time. It's really unsafe to lift without them and other companies aren't making them in this size (2.5in×2.5in). Hopefully I don't crash myself before there back in stock.
Would give 0 stars . Thought the power squat rack and needed weight holders so duh bought from the same distributor to ensure the weight holder diameter fit the rack . Makes sende right? Wrong didn't open the box til months later to reveal none of them fit on the specified squat rack and idk if I can even return them even though I only opened like ~2 out of 5 boxes . My husband wants to saw the side that one fit around off but I spent so much money idk what to do with them fr
When I received this item I was missing 2 important metal bars. I contacted the seller and they responded that they stop including those side metal-bars and they needed to upgrade the description. (meaning an incomplete rack). They assured me they would send me one and asked for my address. It's been a week since I gave them my address and I heard ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I kept messaging them yet they keep ignoring me. They were fast to ask for my address and seem like were going to help but GHOSTED me just like all the other reviews of people saying so. THIS HAS BECOME A HUGE HEADACHE AND NOW I NEED TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO RETURN THIS INCOMPLETE CAGE. I'm ACTUALLY furious because I was already about to return the cage but the seller assured me they'd ship it so i decided to put it together. Now I don't know how I can return this junk. ANY OTHER SELLER IS BETTER. TRUST ME. ANYWAY YOU GET AN INCOMPLETE CAGE. They literally ran out of the parts and are straight ripping people off now.
Good luck ordering anything from the Signature Fitness, FitVids or Fitwave Walmart stores. If it says sold and shipped by Walmart. Don't even think about ordering. I've literally had 5 to 6 orders where they sent me the wrong item or the product was damaged or it gets lost in transit. Why continue to order you ask? I'm trying to build a performance gym on an insanely small budget. It's been a big mistake to go to this route. With the time and gas spent going back-and-forth from Walmart, I could've just bought namebrand equipment. By the way, this is all liquidation equipment. The max that the parts are in literally have had dirt in them on multiple occasions. If you feel lucky go for it if not, don't waste your time for some liquidated items that they don't even check the product number before they ship it.
