Evil Dead (Steelbook) (4K Ultra HD), Horror, Shout Factory

Evil Dead (2003) is a great remake of the classic Evil Dead from 1981. I'd recommend watching the original Evil Dead then check out this version of the film. The plot is fine friends go to a run down cabin to help a friend withdrawal from addiction. Be prepared for a lot of violence and's blood if that bothers you, might be good to avoid this movie. The steelbook is very fancy and would recommend you buy this version.

This was one of the first discs I played back when I got my first OLED TV, and man does it look stunning. The black levels are insane, the audio track immersive. Genuinely one of the best horror remakes out there. Arguably better than the original Evil Dead.

This is a continuation of the great horror franchise evil dead. Do not miss your opportunity to own a piece of history.

This Evil Dead remake is Awesome and looks Fantastic in 4k!!! Amazing steelbook art...I highly recommend purchasing it!

Gorgeous steel book. The thin ‘gold like' light outlining the legs pops in person. This is Fede Alvarez' take on the classic Evil Dead film. It is a remake following the same basic story but with different characters, motives, and ending. This aims to be a more serious take, but is often hampered by cringy dialogue from the secondary characters. Jane Levy, as the main character, does a great performance and absolutely carries the film. To give a very specific description of the feel of this film, it is like a mix of mid 2000s ‘torture pron' horror (ie Hostel) mixed with a refreshed Friday the 13th 2009 polish. It is more visceral in its violence and lingers on shots to try to gross you out for shock factor, like someone slowly injuring their body over the course of 10 secs. A solid movie to own and watch, but a much different feel than the classics.

purchased this because the cover is pretty cool. nothing special but i guess it's pretty neat if you're someone such as myself who doesn't already own a copy of the film on 4k.

One of the best horror remakes. Very gory, very nasty we a great lead character and supporting cast! A must buy.

The steelbook and 4k disc are awesome! My problem is that it is marketed as a 4K disc bluray. And there is no bluray disc. Just a 4k disc. Very disappointing. But at least the artwork is phenomenal.

Steel book arrived in security plastic cover which I then had to take to a local Walmart store to open it, completely defeating the point of having a store to home delivery. Not recommended
