Evolution Power Tools 7-1/4-Inch, 15 Amp, Multi-Material Circular Track Saw with Track, R185CCSX

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in order to precisely cut stair risers and treads for my home. I own clamp on guides and tried those, but found that the saw I was using was slightly wider in the back, changing the cut path as the tail end reached the guide. It worked great! When cutting the treads which were wider, the shorter guide pieces were more challenging to use due to the sizing of the treads and the guide pieces which used joiners, effectively limiting the range of travel of the guide clamps. I then ordered the 55" guides which worked perfectly! The 55" guide with the saw is quite versatile to use, and I have another 55" to join and use on longer pieces if needed. Still an excellent tool, works great!

This circular saw is well made and has all the necessary adjustments required for this tool at a very reasonable price. I've used this with the track guide and have produced excellent results, clean and accurate cuts. Highly recommended.

Like iv said about the track iv haven't had the opportunity yet to used it but I am so looking forward to the quality looks really good and the track that goes with it it going to make my jobs lot easier

Its a great introduction into the format and the tool line. Thinking of getting that table saw next but I really enjoy using the track saw. Its been fun and has worked out great

Circular saw works great and the track is really stable, especially with the clamps so a good all rounder

Have thought for a long time about buying one of these and finally I did. Excellent piece of kit with the track and rest to use.

I'm not a fan of the multi piece track as the G2 track is superior in every way but at the price of the circular saw the track is basically a freebie thrown in which can get you by in a pinch. The saw throws a lot of dust even with a large shop vac attached but it's not an enclosed design and for the price and versatility it's hard to beat the performance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this track saw and the 9' track kit for about a year now, and completed multiple projects. My first impression opening the box was "there are a lot of plastic parts", but I have not had a single issue with durability. Considering the price point vs. other track saws, absolutely no regrets. I have made perfect 45° miters while making 16' faux beams, trimmed long deck edges and plywood, and with a water attachment, cut a lot of large format tile with this track saw. The reason for only 4 stars is Evolution can't provide replacement splinter strips for the tracks, but I found the Festool version works well.

Not sure why I would buy a track saw with 3 short pieces of track when I want a track saw for long accurate cuts on boards etc. Since the track sold separately is universal, I might as well buy another manufacturer's product that doesn't include the useless parts!
