I used this saw for cutting branches off a tree in my garden. worked very well. Branches approximately 4 to 5 inches in diameter. Blades provided are good. Adjustable speed and Led light works well. I will use the cardboard box provided and store on my garage shelf, A busy trades person using this saw each day may want a carry case.
I bought this for my wife who wanted a lightweight saw for cutting small branches following a tree pruning session. A chainsaw was far too powerful and cutting so much by hand was not an option. This saw has been in use now for a few days and has earned its keep many times over already. Useful that it came with 4 blades and as usual with Evolution kit it does the job superbly. I already own a mitre saw and stand and a battery powered jigsaw from the Evolution "stable" and they are all first class tools that do exactly what they promise. A great company that deserves to succeed, I would have no hesitation in recommending Evolution and would certainly purchase other tools in their range. Thank you.
I bought this saw to prune and cut down small tree branches. It did the job fine. I needed to use a ladder. I chose the Evolution because it was lighter than most similar saws and the handle could be adjusted and turned to suit my working position. Good price, great value.
This machine is just the ticket,it`s built for purpose, comes with a good choice of blades and a sturdy feel storage box. Build quality seems V good if looked after it will last for years,at the price I purchased this --nothing else could touch it--great value for money. Not sure about comparisons as THIS IS the one.

Excellent reciprocating saw with the power and features of a trade machine for the price of a less powerful DIY brand saw. The saw seems to be well built strong and durable, and quite heavy to hold, and comes with a useful moulded case, and even more useful selection of blades for various materials. I used the saw to remove a large window/door frame and was able to cut the timber quite accurately without damaging the plaster work etc. The multipurpose blade cut through steel fixings with very restricted access and very quickly. Reduced the time and effort on the job considerably. The saw would not take the blades upside down, which would have been a useful feature, but the soft action and variable speed whilst sawing were very good features. Am I happy with my saw - yes I am, and British design from a British firm is a bonus.
