I bought theee if these. In white for our deck overlooking the pool. The planters are on rollers so they moved easily. Once you add a plant and soil they are heavier and less ambulatory. The brackets provided to connect the players to one another were worthless. We used cable ties which works great. Be sure to drill a couple of holes in the bottom of your planter. We didn’t and had to go back and complete that step.
This trellis on wheels is very nice. I was looking for a little privacy and this sturdy and well made planter fit on my balcony. It is very windy here so I zip tied the trellis to the railing and a stone in the base and now I have the perfect, attractive screen.
Very nice but it won't work as a divider “wall” on my patio as it blows over, needs to be against a wall or where there little wind. I like it though.
I bought 2 of these to cover the trash cans. I liked the style and the price. I bought it like 2 weeks so I can not say much about the quality. Quality looks good as of now. The only “but” I see as of today is that the trellis feels a little loose . I love the looks. And once the plants start climbing it will look even better.
I bought 2 of these to use on my patio. While inserting the wheels, (they are not attached) I had the corner of the planter push through the bottom. Now my self watering planter would not be able to hold the water in the bottom. I called and customer service shipped me a new planter to replace the broken planter. So far, I love the convenience of these being on wheels. I can move them get the best exposure when I need and my Mandeville vine is growing nicely on the trellis. BTW- The planter holds approximately 1.5 cu ft of soil, not 3-4 cu ft that I read on 1 of the answers.
This planter is very pretty, and a really nice size. I planted mini morning glory plants to spill over the front, with a climbing rose to go up the trellis. The planter must be staked or supported so it cannot blow over if you don't put it against a wall. The trellis removes from the base easily, so you either have to screw the trellis to the base, or remember to only move the planter by the base, as the planter cannot be moved by pulling on the trellis without pulling the trellis out of the base. The float that indicates when it needs water does not seem to function, but I just water regularly and don't really need that. Overall, this is a unique and sturdy planter, and the visual impact is really lovely! I recommend it!
I have had this about one month and so far it is working out great! I had no problems with shipping/delivery. Pieces were intact. It is a high-grade resin and so far has withstood to wind storms! I like the fact it has wheels. I haven’t noticed a big advantage yet to the self watering part but as the temperatures warm up I’m sure I will appreciate it more. Good size. I would recommend this.
The planter is awesome! The instructions are not so great. Important to remember to drill the 2 holes in the bottom, and for the wheels the plastic peices that come with them clip around the metal part of the wheels. The 2 holes on the bottom that are to be drilled is the one spot on each side between the spots for wheels that also sticks out like the spot for the wheels( again, 1 on each side). It will make sense when you see the instructions ( they are not in order). Also, save the clips that pop out from the bottom of the latticework in the zip lock bag with the instructions that come with the other part of the package ( the latticework came in one box to me first, and then the rest came in another box later the same day).
I really like this planter. I bought it to grow cucumbers. The trellis is a little wobbly if you try to move the planter around by holding the trellis. The wheel is a little sticky when I try to move the planter. Other than those two things I am very pleased with the purchase.
Ordered green received white contacted manufacturer they sent green set and the trellis was broken sent another trellis it was broken. Then we had to return the unbroken part to the manufacturer and had to return the white one to sams. Now we have to take the broken trellises to the dump. Very inconvenient.
