I love this for every day writing. It has an elastic strap to keep it shut. It has 2 separate pieces of ribbon for bookmarks. This is a Classy little black book. I use it to write about my dog and her days. I love going back to read what she did. The pages in here are lined very nicely so you can write on them. I highly recommend this to any who enjoys keeping a journal of whatever suits them.

First of all this Journal is Hard cover, should last a good lifetime. The opening pages are a dozen or more pages that you can write the page number and subject matter. The other pages are for writing anything subject matter you desire to write. There's plenty of pages so you won't have to worry about running out of pages anytime soon. I highly recommend this Journal for purchase. You can't go wrong by doing so.
