My son is 13 and not the most organized person. That's an understatement. Last year, we found out that his time management skills needed some work and he had no problems doing his homework but would forget to turn it in. He also would miss deadlines for certain opportunities. I do not go to school with him so I'd miss out on the info and wouldn't be able to remind him. So I knew we were gonna need to do something different this year.
That's why I love love love this planner. It's very fitting for schoolers. And it has lots to it. It has a full year calendar in the front and back covers for both years. It has rulers drawn into the side of covers. It has full monthly calendars for quick notes and daily calendars for longer notes or more room to add more.
It even has a contacts page so he can write down emergency numbers and friends and teacher's emails, etc. It has a notes section to take notes.
What's cool is it has, on the full month 1 page calendars, a section for writing down their goals of the month. Which is great. It also has study tips, test taking tips and other tips in the daily calendars.
At the beginning of it, is a section that tells them how to best use the planner. It also explains the idea of smart goals that are realistic and measurable. It also gives info on study skills and note taking and taking tests. This is more than just a planner and is perfect for any middle or high schooler.
I also liked that it had info on bullying and what to do if you or someone you know is bullied.
Then it also had measurements and conversions, the periodic table of elements, info about the solar system, geography and maps, social studies, and English grammar and spelling pages. This is like a one stop shop for a teenager. Definitely a must for school. Definitely recommend.
I did get to try this for free through the Spark Review program but the experience and opinions are my own.
