Exerpeutic TF1000 400 lbs. Weight Capacity Treadmill with Incline Options, Heavy Duty Belt and Pulse Monitoring

I guess a lot of people don't do enough research on a product before purchasing it. Especially if it is something that some would consider a major purchase. I was looking for a simple treadmill. I usually walk daily, but due to weather conditions and the mere fact that it just is not safe for a woman to walk alone these days, this treadmill fits the bill. I selected the heavy duty because I use it daily and wanted something that would last. I get a better work out because I can walk without interruption, not have to carry pepper spray, not have to worry about traffic or my husband worrying about my safety if I decide to extent a workout. I assembled the treadmill myself and it was working in about an hour. I use it daily and love it. No need to spend a thousand dollars to get a good workout. This product is a great value for me.

We bought this treadmill for the price. We are using it for the dog, to give her more exercise. The wide belt allows room for the dog and and her human to walk/run at the same time. It is ultra quiet, easy to assemble, and easy to use without having to use all the extra bells and whistles (unless you want to).

Been using this unit for almost 10-days since I got it assembled. Only took less than 10mins to install, and fairly light for a heavy-duty motorized treadmill. I had more trouble moving it to the spot I want to place than assembling parts. Ran it 3-5hrs a day, at least 4miles a day. And so far, it's holding up pretty good. I'm using this unit as a walking-running workstation, rigged up the spacious holding bar to fit a snug table as a placeholder for my keyboard, mouse, media player controller and cup holder. With this setup, I'm doing work/playing on the computer while mindlessly walking at least 2mph for hours. And I think 4MPH top speed on this unit is acceptable for my kind of workout as I multitask for hours. The unit is very solid however, the belt makes a little squeaky noise after putting in 15miles on it (I haven't done any maintenance work, i.e oiling the belt) but if you have a head set or have speakers on the computer, you can barely hear it. Motorized sturdy unit with 20" belt and spacious handlebar for under $400 is worth every penny for a walk/running station, the same specifications I was researching on was at least double the price and less years covered in the warranty.

I Just Received This Treadmill 2 Weeks Ago. ThE Handle Bar Knobs Were Broken...Ordering The PArts FoR That...But It's Basically One Piece With Just 2 Or 3 Things To Do. The Manual Is Not Much Help But IS EasY To Figure Out. Don't Like That The Control Panel Is Hanging, But Love The Long Handle Bars With The Control BUttons On It. It Is Quite Running. Like The Feel Of It...It Is Heavy So You Will At Least Need 2 Or 3 People To Help Get It Out Of The Box And Up To Bonus Room If Your Putting It There. It Was Just Me & Hubby, So We Needed That Third Person. Lol.. But Overall I Love This TrEadmill And Would Recommend. The Long Handle Bars Are A Plus To Me...Really Love That Feature And Is One Reason Why I Bought It. It Does Stand Up For Space Saving, And That Was A Plus FoR Me TOo...Would Buy Again.

I can't tell you how long I've been looking for a sturdy but affordable treadmill that can hold more than usual 250 pounds of most home equipment. This treadmill is wide and the stride length is fine for me. I am 5 foot 4 and weigh over 300 lbs. My husband is 5 foot 8 and it would work for him too. It has a small footprint and sits well in our smallish living room. It can also be folded up. I recommended this treadmill to my doctor and she was thrilled to have a model she could recommend to her other patients.

It appears to be good quality equipment Four mph max speed is all that we need. It is very easy to assemble and use. I like the handlebar controls; it can be turned on/off and speed adjusted very easily. It is very sturdy but heavy to move around. The only thing I did not like is that the wires to the computer hang down and looks tacky. I might have to use a cable tie and try to hide them. Good for seniors and I highly recommend it.

First off I weigh 302 lbs, I am 6' 2". So I was looking for a treadmill to walk a brisk walk on (presently 3mph for 30 min), and so far it is meeting my expectations. I would have probably given it 5 stars but the hand rail height wasn't adjustable. I thought the motor would be a little small but figured if they rate it for 400 lbs then it must be designed with a high torque motor, and sure enough, it moves my weight just fine. The deck folds up nicely, it has a strut on it that makes it easy to lift. The only thing I don't like about it is the hand rails are too low for my height. I wish they were a couple inches higher as I usually like to rest my hands on the rails. I am sure I will probably come up with something to increase the rail height or add some type of handles on to it. It appears to be constructed well and it is stable as I walk. The shipping was fast, sooner than expected.

Like many in my situation, I was looking for a treadmill for my newly built "standing desk". You have 2 options in todays market: A: Pay the cost of the nich treadmills designed for this purpose or B: Find a standard one where the console is removable so it will fit under the desk and still allow you to operate it. The console (being removable) was my main selling feature on this unit and it will fit under the "Ikea Expedit project" found on many standing desk blogs. You do have to add 6 x 8 cuts of wood to raise the Expedit set up about 3/4 of an inch. I work out of my home and do live web presentations all day. I need to walk on the treadmill for about 6 hours a day. I am sure this treadmill would be ok for the standard home user but for my purposes, it had several important drawbacks. #1 The ramp (the floor the belt runs on) is made of MDF and it "squeaks / creaks" as you walk. This started right away and despite my attempts to tighten the bolts, it still occurred. This noise may not be an issue for watching TV or listening to music but it was very distracting while making calls. I also don't think the MDF board will hold up long term. It also started losing is rigidity (started to sag as I walked) after only one week of 6 hour a day use. Note: I am in great shape, 6'2'' 185 LBS (this "Heavy Duty" treadmill is rated for more than double my weight...yea right...no way!) #2 The motor sounded like it was right at (meaning just enough) the power level needed but you could here the fact that it had no extra oomph. Again, for home use, at an hour a day, it may be fine but for 4 - 6 hours a day I know this thing will have problems in 1 - 2 years (keep in mind it says it is Heavy Duty ...hmmm marketing hype?...hence why I bought this and not the cheaper one) #3 I did use it for about a week 5 -6 hours a day and by the second week the motor started to make more noise (not loud) as it just sounded like it was wearing or at least it was louder than when unboxed. The belt or rollers also sounded as if it was already out of balance after several balance adjustments. It ran straight but sounded off...and yes I lubed it very well...it was not a friction sound as it came from the roller area even when I was not on the machine. I am returning this and ended up ordering the LifeSpan 1200 series (2.5 HP motor and warranty that is designed for 6 hours of daily use etc) which is built for standing desks. It is double the price but I feel will last years based on the reviews and the fact it is built for commercial purposes like standing desks. Don't have it yet but will update this for those in my situation looking to do the same thing.

machine would only run 4-5 seconds and then shut off with an error 1 reading. The manual gave steps to trouble shoot problem. None of the steps worked and the manual stated to contact customer service via e-mail or phone. I sent 3 e-mails without any reply. I called the customer service number 2 times and went straight to voicemail. I left my contact information and have yet to hear from anyone. I will be boxing this machine up and taking back to the store. It looks good out of the box, but there is not any customer service from the company. I would not recommend doing business with this company.

This treadmill looked good online, however it seems a bit rickety. When the hubby used it, it made a squeaky noise and was too short for his stride. Possibly a good buy for shorter lighter peeps, but we are trading in tomorrow. Thanks Walmart for making exchanges possible. Gonna get a Golds Gym treadmill.
