EXIT: The Game - Adventures on Catan

I received this free from Influenster and Thames &Kosmos in return for my honest review. This exit game was very overwhelming at first, you really have to do alot of reading and strategies are definitely involved. It's for 1 to 4 players, and in all honesty you cant be tired, this game literally takes all concentration on. Yes its fun once you get into it. Takes 1 to 2 hours to do depending on the amount of players, but once you complete it, you are already wanting another game or cant wait to do it again. Its a thinking challenging game, but you got to want to stick with it through out the game, you get sucked into it and want to stay for the outcome. Very fun in the end, no worries, not spoiling it for anyone. Made really well for materials and small enough to be stored away for next time. I recommend definitely if you want a different type of fun!!

EXIT: The Game - Adventures on Catan is definitely a tricky and challenging game, but we found it really interesting. It took my daughter and me a little longer than we expected, but the time we spent together was priceless. We really enjoyed solving the puzzles and going through the whole adventure. We couldn't figure out every answer without a little help, but that was part of the fun. It was a really fun journey to experience together.

I wasn't sure what to think of this game at first. We are big Catan fans but this isn't exactly a Catan game but it also isn't a typical escape room game. It is, however a cool crossover and absolutely perfect for a game night. It is challenging but not overly difficult. Our 10 year old was able to participate without feeling left behind but it's challenging enough to be cool for a group of adults. I liked the puzzle aspect of the game. It was a little confusing in the beginning but if you follow the instructions, it's not difficult to grasp fairly quickly. The game lasted a couple of hours for us so it was the perfect amount of time. I would highly recommend and will definitely be looking into other Exit games.

This game was very difficult to understand initially. We had to watch a YouTube video to walk us through it. However, now that we understand it I believe we could pick up any of their exit games and enjoy them. This is a very time consuming game that is meant to be completed in one sitting and can only be played once.

My family has played Catan for several years and it's our favorite board game so we were excited to try this escape-room style game. It was fun to think outside the box, collaborate with one another and try to solve the riddles. There was a bit of a learning curve learning how to play the game as it was complex and directions were a little hard to interpret. But once we learned on how and caught on to how the game is played, it was very engaging and fun. The small size of this game is perfect for taking on-the-go and would be fun to play with friends. It would be fun if more than four people could play as well. It's nice that if you get stuck, there are two clues to help solve the riddle and then the answer if you really cannot solve it. Overall it was a fun, family friendly game that was unique and unlike any other game we've ever played!

I've never seen a game at this level before. So I'll call myself a novice. There is no board game. This is a mystery game with riddles and think pieces. It's a very interesting concept. Definitely can be played longer than 60 mins. The instructions are a must to be able to understand the gameplay. I do like the fact that the designers understand that even the paper guide can be a little intimidating or intense, so, you can download an app or go to a website to get the instructions read to you. Overall I really like the puzzling aspect of the game and look forward to finishing our family adventure on Catan.

Our family enjoys these riddle challenge games. We did find this one pretty challenging and with a lot of instructions. You really have to look for the play on words and think outside the box. I have to admit it was not easy and we did not breeze through! The goal is to reach Catan and it takes some maneuvering to get there! We enjoyed this game as challenging as it was. My only issue with this type of game is you can only play it once. It would be nice to see a game that you could pass along to someone else and share the challenge! I recommend this if you like to work together and really want to think!

I was very excited to try this game for our family game night. We have two teens. We found the rules to be pretty straightforward and the setup to be reasonably easy. When it came to game play, we thought the rules were a bit confusing and even though our daughters are both teens they just couldn't get into it. It's rated for 10+, but I feel like it's actually for a bit of an older crowd. Because of the nature of the game it's not able to be replayed which is a very cool idea. I think for the right crowd this could be an awesome game, but it just wasn't for us unfortunately.
