The game was a great mix of strategy and luck! If you're trying to play something different and not a basic game like monopoly this is a great place to start. Everyone I've played with so far have loved the game and we've had fun bickering with each other lol the core loop is simple, you build roads and settlements on an island using resources like wood, brick, wheat, sheep and ore. What makes the game fun and interesting, you almost never run out of the things you need. You could be swimming in lumber but be completely starved of brick, which forces you to trade with your opponents. This keeps everyone talking, bartering, and occasionally getting petty when someone refuses to trade a piece of sheep. The board is modular so you get a different layout every single time you play. There is definitely luck involved, and the resources you get depend entirely on dice rolls, so there is times when your numbers just don't come up and it can be frustrating but the strategy of where you place your initial houses keeps you feeling in control. Takes about 1 to 2 hours to finish the game and I highly recommend adding it to your gaming shelf for your next game night with family or friends. I also forgot to mention setup is easy, and the instructions are easy to read and they have a lot of stop to read card before you continue and to read aloud so everyone knows what they're doing when it's time to play.
I received this free from Influenster and Thames &Kosmos in return for my honest review. This exit game was very overwhelming at first, you really have to do alot of reading and strategies are definitely involved. It's for 1 to 4 players, and in all honesty you cant be tired, this game literally takes all concentration on. Yes its fun once you get into it. Takes 1 to 2 hours to do depending on the amount of players, but once you complete it, you are already wanting another game or cant wait to do it again. Its a thinking challenging game, but you got to want to stick with it through out the game, you get sucked into it and want to stay for the outcome. Very fun in the end, no worries, not spoiling it for anyone. Made really well for materials and small enough to be stored away for next time. I recommend definitely if you want a different type of fun!!
This Catan exit the game adventures on Catan is very easy to setup and has great replayability with the cooperation of other players is makes it a fun family game
Looking forward to playing this and having fun with family night in. This is my very first exit game and good game and great choice to play. A perfect travel friendly game
Exit adventures on Canton, beautifully merges Catan's trading and hex building with clever escape room riddles. A thematic at-free triumph built for franchise veterans.
My son likes to play with the Adventures on Catan game. It's a little difficult and it takes some time to figure out the puzzles to unlock new areas. Fun to play.
My 11 year old was so excited to play this for our game night. We started out playing but realized it was a little too confusing for him and he eventually decided to not play. The game is listed at 10 and up however there are a lot of things a younger player might miss or not pick up on. But my 13 year old continued to play and we completed the game in just under 3 hours. We enjoyed the game and how you really used everything that it came with. I like how you could check if you were correct or not without finding out the solution. The puzzles were great and we had fun solving them. The story was good too. I know it is built to only be played once. So that is kind of disappointing. Because of this game we did purchase another Exit game for younger kids to play with my 11 and 6 year old. Can't wait until our next game night.
If you are looking for a challenging game this is it. It is basically a scape room on a box, so you really have to be creative at the time to play and literally think out of the box. The game is designed to be used only one time since you discard parts of it as you go. I can be played solo or as a group. The box says that it can take one to 2 hours to finish it but it took me way more than that.
I received this game as part of a promotion remember to not look at the game materials closely before starting the game first read the rule book together out loud and carefully follow all the instructions. It is a very complex and makes you think and use that brain it requires a lot of patience and attention. We read the instructions, but but I could not get my 11 year-old to want to play it. it was very complicated. And not his typical preferred game. It has a lot of steps requires an active imagination and lack the ability to replay it because once the information is out there, it's doesn't make it as
This game was different from any other game we have played. You will need lots of table space to build your settlement out. There are lots of characters wanting resources to build things. The game takes about 2 hrs of solving puzzles which can be challenging at times making you think outside the box to solve. Best with 2 players.
