EXIT: The Game - Adventures on Catan

I received this free from Influenster and Thames &Kosmos in return for my honest review. This exit game was very overwhelming at first, you really have to do alot of reading and strategies are definitely involved. It's for 1 to 4 players, and in all honesty you cant be tired, this game literally takes all concentration on. Yes its fun once you get into it. Takes 1 to 2 hours to do depending on the amount of players, but once you complete it, you are already wanting another game or cant wait to do it again. Its a thinking challenging game, but you got to want to stick with it through out the game, you get sucked into it and want to stay for the outcome. Very fun in the end, no worries, not spoiling it for anyone. Made really well for materials and small enough to be stored away for next time. I recommend definitely if you want a different type of fun!!

This is my first time playing a game like this and I'm hooked! I tried this game with my wife for date night and it kept us engaged and putting our heads together to solve clues. I'm thorough and read instructions thoroughly which helps instead of just tearing open a box and figuring things out. It comes with all the necessary components to solve this mystery and is truly innovative for the gaming industry. Only thing we used if our own was a note pad with a pencil. I highly suggest trying this out, I know we will be purchasing another edition soon for our next mystery!

EXIT: The Game - Adventures on Catan is definitely a tricky and challenging game, but we found it really interesting. It took my daughter and me a little longer than we expected, but the time we spent together was priceless. We really enjoyed solving the puzzles and going through the whole adventure. We couldn't figure out every answer without a little help, but that was part of the fun. It was a really fun journey to experience together.

I've never seen a game at this level before. So I'll call myself a novice. There is no board game. This is a mystery game with riddles and think pieces. It's a very interesting concept. Definitely can be played longer than 60 mins. The instructions are a must to be able to understand the gameplay. I do like the fact that the designers understand that even the paper guide can be a little intimidating or intense, so, you can download an app or go to a website to get the instructions read to you. Overall I really like the puzzling aspect of the game and look forward to finishing our family adventure on Catan.

This game was very difficult to understand initially. We had to watch a YouTube video to walk us through it. However, now that we understand it I believe we could pick up any of their exit games and enjoy them. This is a very time consuming game that is meant to be completed in one sitting and can only be played once.

I am so torn on this. I absolutely love the idea of an escape room type game. I think it's such a fun way to spend an evening with your friends or family and this did not disappoint. Once we got the hang of figuring out the clues, it started to flow. My reservation is the waste that comes with a one use game. I understand you cannot do the same "escape room" challenge but I'm wondering if there is a way to use the same supplies and come up with different puzzles. I would definitely recommend this for a game night and will look into other versions for gifts for friends.

My family of 4 played this game which included myself, 2 college students and a straight A 11th grader. We found it very difficult to play. There were a lot of components that you needed to understand before you could even play. We prefer games that are challenging yet fun to unwind after long weeks at school & work. We didn't write on anything so we plan to share this game with another family.

I was very excited to try this game for our family game night. We have two teens. We found the rules to be pretty straightforward and the setup to be reasonably easy. When it came to game play, we thought the rules were a bit confusing and even though our daughters are both teens they just couldn't get into it. It's rated for 10+, but I feel like it's actually for a bit of an older crowd. Because of the nature of the game it's not able to be replayed which is a very cool idea. I think for the right crowd this could be an awesome game, but it just wasn't for us unfortunately.
