Expert Gardener 2.5QT Boxwood Green Mountain Evergreen Live Plants Full Sun

I consistently plant a few particular choices of the Expert Gardener trees, shrubs, plants and flowers in my garden every year. I have landscaped my property for over a decade with a variety of them. They are affordable, offer a great variety of color and textures, as well as growing needs at my local store's garden center... and they stock what works best for my growing zone too. I prefer the smaller trees and shrubs to plant due to the more manageable size, but there are usually dofferent sizes offered too. I am not a professional, but I am content with the results and I have received many compliments on my little shrubberies too. This will be my first 'Green Mountain' boxwood variety. I purchased this variety for the conical shape and the height; it does not get as tall as an arborvitae. However, it will still provide evergreen interest in an area I need a shorter evergreen to fill in, but I prefered a conical shape. I've never had a problem with shaping our established Expert Garden boxwoods in other varieties. The only issue I have experienced is of my own fault when I started to garden without much know-how, lol. There are just some areas of my garden they do not prefer to grow so happily; so I moved them. Full grown, "established", pretty unhappy looking boxwoods, and they ALL tranplanted perfectly. They are now thriving in their happier corner of the garden. After a couple years of patiently awaiting regrowth in the branches, stems and leaves (many lost from the sadness) and reshaping the new growth as it refilled in, they finally look great like the others. These are not shrubs that will provide any blossoms, but they do provide great evergreen interest and shape in the winter. I am so very satisfied and I will keep purchasing these. I expect no less satisfaction from this new variety as well (new to our gardens, anyway). The birds love them too btw! ;) Happy Gardening!

I love evergreens and I got this bush to add to the year round greenery in my yard. The stems look strong and the plant seems very healthy.

Sadly, all of the boxwood shrubs I ordered (4) were suffering when they arrived, and 1 was basically dead. They were extremely root bound in their containers and dry in the cores of the root balls. All had several yellow/brown sections. I'm trying to revive 3 of them. I had an even worse experience with the arborvitae shrubs I ordered. I urge you to save your money for a reputable nursery purchase of these shrubs.
