Even now, as the temperature is heating up for the spring, we find great use for this charcoal for grilling meats and hamburgers and hot dogs. The cherry flavor is a good accent on our food.

The Charcoal after being lit, stayed a strong black color for a long time, sustaining a large, healthy flame. My husband expressed "this was much better than the stuff we had last year!" even in just a short amount of time. The smell of Cherrywood came through firmly before the smoke picked up too much. As long as it wasn't agitated, there wasn't a great deal of smoke to contend with. The flavor permeates everything the smoke touches. I would 100% recommend this, it's by far a sure bet to add to your grilling accessories.

I love grilling. I do not like steak unless it is over a wood fire! I did decide to try steaks with this. I have since bought steaks and this cherry charcoal a few times. Everyone has mentioned how great the flavor is with this charcoal, steaks, hot dogs or hamburgers and chicken! Fantastic! I will not use other charcoal now! I keep 3 large bags of this at all times! I grill a lot!

Did not have a smell before lighting but hard a slight hint of appt and cherry once lit. Too a bit longer than the 15 minutes listed on the packaging to be ready but that maybe due to the fact we do not use any lighter fluid but a charcoal chimney instead. Overall good product and would look to buy again.

The price is very good for the amount included in the bag. The bag itself was easy to open and it did not tear. I like this product and would be happy to use it as an alternative to what I regularly buy.

doesn't light or burn like normal charcoal at all. tried lighting it thru a chimney wich took 2 tries. then once it did finally light it barely produced heat leaving my chicken a nice golden skin with a raw interior. will never buy this or any charcoal from Walmart again. menards has better charcoal for the same price an get more charcoal! The one thing I can say is although it barely cooked my chicken it did impart a slight flavor that was noticed even after having to recook it.
