I missed Charcoal Grilling

Terumi February 19, 2026

We missed charcoal grilling and am so glad we found this. It’s shorter than we thought but it works for our apartment. We can use it in the yard and store on our balcony. We are winter grilling now and it holds heat great! Grilled a 2” thick porterhouse %26 ribeye steak just right!

The $25 Altar of Ash and Flame

bill October 14, 2025

Forget fancy stainless steel, ceramic eggs, and digital readouts. This grill is a brute-force declaration that flavor does not care about your credit score. For twenty-five measly dollars—the price of a sad, soggy lunch—Walmart hands you the keys to the kingdom of smoke. It's an act of retail insanity! You unpack it, and the lightweight, black porcelain-coated steel feels thin. You might laugh. You should laugh. But this isn't a flaw; it's a feature! This grill is the disposable razor of outdoor cooking—it's meant to be used, abused, and eventually discarded when its time has come, a glorious Viking funeral of rusted legs and scorched memories. The Culinary Chaos Chamber Its roughly 300 square inches of cooking space is a tight, chaotic arena, perfect for a high-intensity, close-quarters combat with your food. Forget low-and-slow smoking; this grill demands direct-heat warfare. You dump the charcoal right in, the fire is inches from your steaks, and you are immediately locked in a high-stakes duel. But here's the secret, the thing that makes this cheap beast sing: It forces you to actually learn to grill. You have no digital help. You have two, maybe three, little adjustable vents—primitive air controls—and your own intuition. You must manage the flame with raw, gut-level feel, constantly moving your food from the center of the inferno to the edges. It's an authentic, frantic, and ultimately flavor-obsessed experience. The smoky crust you get on a cheap burger from this little titan is a testament to the fact that the soul of BBQ is charcoal and a little bit of fear. The Beautiful Breakdown Yes, the paint will likely blister. Yes, the plastic handle tabs might melt a little if you get truly aggressive with your heat. And yes, cleaning up the ash is a gritty, hands-on, deeply satisfying archaeological dig into the remnants of your feast. But consider the alternative: buying an $800 machine and being afraid to scratch it. This $25 beast gives you license to fail gloriously. You can drag it to the beach, leave it out in a thunderstorm, and when it finally, inevitably, collapses into a heap of rusted glory after two or three seasons, you simply shrug, pay another twenty-five dollars, and start the cycle of fire anew. It is cheap. It is functional. It is an unfiltered, unapologetic blast of pure, delicious grilling joy. This grill is an argument that you don't need money to be happy, you just need fire. 5/5 Stars. Now go set something on fire.

This is a single woman’s dream! You can’t beat the price and I put it together in 15 minutes! Had my first steak on it last night and my kids went crazy it was soooo good! It looks just as nice as the Weber I had that I paid four times the price! I love this grill!

Great little charcoal grill!

Sheila October 15, 2025

Bought this little grill for a camping beach trip. I didn't care to bring my full size grill (didn't want to haul around a charcoal grill 400miles), so I bought this inexpensive little guy and was impressed with how well it worked. Assembly was easy and took maybe 10min? Wasn't long and I was grilling away in no time. I cooked steaks, chicken thighs and reheated pizza with it! It did as well as my large kettle at home, most impressed! Only short coming was its size, only so much food will fit. The price tho was phenomenal when considering how well it worked. I had intended to throw it away. Could not bring myself to do so it worked so well. So I left it at the beach for any other camper to enjoy.

Lightweight but efficient

Doreen August 25, 2026

When purchased I thought that the item didn't meet my expectation but I am surprised on how well the product produces. I have no complaints so far. I did order a grill cover to protect from dust , rain , etc.

Expert Grill

Marguerite July 21, 2026

Expert Grill is a great product for a good price. I used it on the 4of July to Bbq my Ribs, Chicken Wings and Hot Dogs 🌭 and Hamburgers 🍔 . Once I assembled it I put it to work starting with my Ribs. It worked very well. I added my Charcoal and added the lighter fluid once it got hot enough to add meat on the grill I put the lid on. I enjoyed my Bbq 🍗. The lid has the vent that allows it to release smoke yet it still has the smoked flavor.

Great enrty level grill for beginners

anonymous August 16, 2026

Just starting to try grilling. Got this cheap grill to test the waters. Easy to assemble, fairly easy to keep clean. Great for a starter grill. Have cooked pork chops, hotdogs, sausages, burgers, shrimp, and veggies so far and everything's been great.

Decent grill

Jake August 27, 2026

Great little grill for the price. Can fit a ton of stuff on it at once. It's a little annoying having to turn it upside down to dump out the ashes, but it's so lightweight I can do it on my own. It's a little wobbly, but not enough that it feels like it'll fall, just that it makes it a bit difficult to clean the grate. Overall, though, it does the job, and is worth the money.

Not great, but works in a pinch!

JESSICA September 5, 2026

Not good for hot dog grilling because the grate is even with the base. So, the hot dogs can just roll right off on to the ground because there's no edge or lip to stop them. The pro is that if you were to get this last minute, it can be assembled in about 20-30 mins on the spot without any extra tools. Assembly is a bit annoying because all the screws come in a strip of packages. With some of the washers and bits used at different stages, it isn't well thought out. I wish each pack was separated so that each step had it's own pack. You could have used the same amount of packaging and just added a few more seams to separate the different stages. I used self lighting charcoal with no problems at all.

Don't buy flimsy and dangerous

donald July 19, 2026

Flimsy could not get it tight enough to hold it still …this was an emergency purchase I really had no choice it got me thru but the whole time I thought it was going to tip over …and it actually did when I was finished and moving it so I could drown the charcoal brickets …do not buy unless you want a one and done grill
