My experience with this purchase was excellent. Package arrived home on time and everything fit perfectly right the first time.
THIS IS A VERY NICE GRILL FOR THE PRICE. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO A FRIEND ANYTIME.
I've read all of the reviews and for 50$ I don't know what people expect. Excellent grill, easy to assemble and embodies the charcoal grill flavor. I grill all the time (weather permitting) with no problems (from the grill) encountered. Three or 4 years from now I'll buy another, unless I take extreme care of this one, and I won't. Btw...the built in thermometer is an added bonus.
Sturdy. Good size for the two of us but would work for a small family too. Just as pictured. Pleased with purchase.
I bought this to replace our older model similar to this. Old grill was $40 and 7 yrs old. It was starting to get wobly and rusting out. New grill seems very sturdy and cooks well. The legs are held on with 3 screws instead of just one from like the old one. My only complaint is that that the paint was chipped around the edge of the lid. I would have sent it back but I had it put together 90% at that point. I just touched it up with some high heat spray paint.
Purchased this grill today, put it together,... not that difficult instruction were great. Did my first burn, then I smoked some fish with indirect heat, and grilled some veggies. I am satisfied with the grill. For the price it is tough to beat. I do think it needed a better ash system. Other than that for 50 bucks... I love it. It's sturdy, it maintained he well.
I bought this to replace an older model I bought a couple of years ago for $37.00 at Walmart and is no longer available. I particularly like the ash can feature on both of these as opposed to the more expensive Weber that has the dish shaped ash pan under it , that is a joke and a bad one at that. The older and cheaper model had the ash can as well but did not seal as well between the can and the bottom of the grill. The older model had a steeper slope to the ash can opening and more space between the bottom of the grill and the coal grate. The ash in the new model tends to build up quickly and restrict air flow to the bottom of the coals which is problematic. the new one seems to require more charcoal then the older one for the same heat. I am a barbecue purest and like the favor of grilling over charcoal and this one does that well. I am rating this as a three because in my view I am getting a grill not as good as the older cheaper one that is no longer available for more money. But the current one is one of the cheaper ones on the market. My philosophy is to buy them cheap and use them a couple of years and replace them as the grates erode down. Happy grilling. .
Not a bad grill for people on a budget who just want a grill. Has a 1 year warranty. Has a phone number in owners manual to call if you have issues. I had no issues other than a slightly dented hood, no big thing. Just save your receipt. Not as strong and sturdy as a Weber kettle grill. But i think you will be ok buying one of these and if you keep it covered or in a shed etc. You will get your $ worth and get a few years use.
The welds on one of the legs broke taking it out of the box. I was able to tack weld the leg on the plate. For the cost it works ok even heat cooking.
I was about 75 % done putting the grill together when the one of the legs snaps off. I looked closer and found that each leg is only held together by 4 very small welds. I also found the other 3 legs were very wobbly. I will be taking this grill back to get a different one.
