Tons of Fun

begshopper October 16, 2018

This is a really cool LEGO / game set. Honestly probably the best out of all the other LEGO sets the boys have in their room. It kept the boys very interested in the building. Now they've been playing with it all day. It fits other LEGO's so you can add anything to it.

cute set

Ky13Mom October 10, 2018

I received the Exploding Kittens exploding house construction set. This set has quite a few pieces and make a nice little house when put together. The ages on this are 7+ and it took my 8 year old a few days to get this together just because the set is a pretty good size for a block house. The funny thing about this house is that apparently it is exploding and has fake fire blocks in it. The windows also swing out which is a neat little feature. There is a card game called Exploding Kittens that this block house is based on. The game is a card game where things blow up and so this set is based on it. The set comes with 3 small figures to go in the house, including the cats from the card game. The house also has little figurines you can put together that go with it (sold separately), like a white and black cat. The house also comes with limited furniture, being a chair, lamp and cat nip sandwiches. My child can set this house with other block LEGO houses she has. I also like that these blocks can also fit other blocks including LEGOs. I kind of wish the house was more colorful but it is based on the exploding kitten series so I guess that is what is it after. This set also comes with a card that can be included with the game! Cute set for those who also love the card game.

Family fun

a35mmfanatic October 19, 2018

I put this together with my 11 yr old son and we really enjoyed doing so. It took us a while but was worth it. We really enjoy putting stuff like this together. We were not aware of the "Exploding Kittens" line, and the only thing that relates to this line are the 3 "characters" included. I am not fond of the name "Exploding Kittens" but apparently the kids like it so. I would recommend this for anyone who likes putting this type of stuff together.

Great for teenagers!

Esmi22 October 11, 2018

Hard to build but still keeps teenagers entertained! My nephew age 13 took about one hour and half to complete it. Although he had the rest of the kids help with smaller task, he did the more complicated tasks. It kept them all away from playing video games or being on their phones and tablets for a good hour and a half. These sets are great to have around at family gatherings, especially at holiday gatherings. It keeps them playing peacefully and in harmony. Now my girls have a collection going along with another item of Exploding Kittens. This collector construction set is also great for gifting. It makes a great gift for kids that like working with their hands and building.

Fun house- better if you know the card game.

Sismyn October 10, 2018

My kiddos love building blocks so when I was asked to review this I was excited. I had not idea what Exploding Kittens was. I have since done some research and learned it is a very popular card game. Not knowing about the card game did not take away from the fun of building this house. It takes a good while (6 hours) to put together and there are many tiny pieces. However, the ability for the windows to pop down and "explode" makes it different from average building sets. There are no words in the instructions and no explanation as to how to work the completed house. I had to research that as well. I assume if you know the game it would be more clear as to what and why. There is an included advantage card to add to your deck of cards if you own the game. Supposedly this card gives you an advantage. I would not make this a first choice for someone who does not play the game since it makes little sense. The lamp, chair and other items are pretty cool but again, I am sure they make much more sense if you play the card game. There are 317 pieces and recommended age is 7 and up.

Can't compete with LEGO

roeandroxy October 24, 2018

I wasn't impressed with these brick blocks as some were difficult to snap together and once together too hard for my kids to get apart. I received these as part of a review program but if I had paid for them I would be returning them. The only use we get out of them is letting my youngest son (2 1/2) play with them so he can be like his big brothers while they play with real LEGOs.

Works well with other lego blocks

LadyRedRider October 11, 2018

Please keep in mind this package is full of tiny pieces, not for a home with small children or pets that can eat the pieces. Although I am not thrilled with the game nor the name of the game – seems cynical and morbid, the pieces are compatible with other lego-type blocks. I would not purchase the product per say, but it seems harmless enough. Colors are bright. Plastic pieces are standard quality.

Not worth the money and time

dia85 November 10, 2018

I thought it could be a great toy but nop. First of all exploding is not something I want to introduce my kids this early, but anyway we got this toys opened it like all building brick sets bricks were packed in little baggies by size. Instructions were mostly easy to follow. It says age 7+ and that's right it would have been hard for kids younger than that. It helped my 8 year old boy with it and made into a little house. The bricks were falling apart. They are hard to put togather ans easy to fall out of the places. Most definatly mot comparable to legos. I wouldn't buy again and I wouldn't recommend anyone.

Not a good construction set.

rwelch29 October 11, 2018

Uh no! I would not really recommend this. I only have girls. Maybe boys would like this, but we did not. Apparently, Exploding Kittens is a card game. This construction set included a bonus starter card. The set has building blocks like lego's. The blocks are hard to get together and take apart. And they did not stay together that great. This set is an exploding house. It has a dynamite kitten, a rainbow ralphing cat and nope ninja. I did think the nope ninja was funny. I do not like the rainbow ralphing cat at all. He has rainbow throw up coming out of his mouth. The dynamite kitten is carrying dynamite. The characters are strange looking. To make the house look like it exploded, there is fire coming out all the windows. Maybe I just don't get it, but I did not like this toy.
