Extang Xceed Hard Folding Truck Bed Tonneau Cover | 85445 | Compatible with 2014-2018, 2019 Legacy Chevy/GMC Silverado/Sierra 1500 5' 9" Bed (69.3")

I was looking for a low profile cover and found it with the Extang Xceed. The cover was easy to install by myself and was a great fit with hardly any adjustment required. The instructions are easy to follow and installation only requires a few tools.

Arrived packed in factory carton...safely....but beaten to shreds. Cover was in great shape. It's heavy and two persons would be convenient but even for an old guy, I lifted and placed it without too much of a hassle. I had watched the installation video perviously and was ready to install it. Yes....it was 95F degrees. I had 0...zero...issues installing this cover on my '18 F-150. Since installation, it's gone through some horrific Virginia thunderstorm downpours and is showing no signs of water getting into my bed. The only minor thing I'm not totally happy with is the hold up support rod storage clips. The support rods can be snapped in (during non-use) and then be loose from the clips when you get to your destination. Hold-open plastic snap buckles work fine at highway speeds. I've used the hold-up storage rods twice now and they seem to work fine also. This cover looks to be my forever cover. Real Truck ordering and customer service departments are first in class. When working $1000 orders....you have to be. Thanks Real Truck!

Bought a cover and there was a manufacturer malfunction. Called and was given instructions on what to do to get a resolution. Within a day I was told a new one would be on the way with pictures sent of the malfunction. This was done and within a few weeks I had my new cover. I enjoy this cover a lot as it helps with our summer activities. Thank you, Adam H.

I like almost everything about this cover but water does come in the top of the tailgate which I was not expecting. Sent pics to Extang and engineers said I had installed correctly but there is nothing that can be done about the crack left open next to the tailgate. Would really love to know how the guy got no leaks using pressure washer! Not necessarily a deal breaker but wish I had known before purchase. I think they should make buyers aware and perhaps offer extra weatherstripping to help seal the crack. If I drive very far with stuff in truck bed I will use tape to cover the hole.

I m use to the bed covers that sticks up and look like they're going to blow off. But the exceed by Extang is the perfect all around look for my truck. It's easy on the looks easy accessibility but not easy on the wallet. It's a little expensive but that's to be expected with the quality product you're getting.

I bought this cover about three years ago. It's easy to install. Very sturdy, and looks great. Some people complain about the twist mechanism but that never bothered me. My only issue is with the leather looking cover. After about a year it started to peel up on one edge. I tried liquid cement but it didn't stay. Now it's starting to peel up on the other side. I live in OH and it really doesn't get that hot. This covering wouldn't last a year in AZ or TX. My plan is to remove the covering. I think it actually will look pretty good. All in all I like the cover but might be better to buy one without the EndraCoat material covering.

Over all the cover is good but the plastic piece that covers the release cable is an issue. It was fine for a while but now it keeps coming out of the track and hanging down. This causes issue getting stuff in and out of the bed with the cover closed.

Installation of the rails was challenging. Lining up the clamps took a considerable amount of time because of the Toyota configuration. The drain hoses did not fit the bed drain making them inoperable. After installation you could see slight bends in the cover. This prevents the parameter seals from laying properly. I was very careful to install as was noted on the instructions. It looked to be an issue that occurred during shipping but not bad enough to return. We will see how it performs in the long term. It took about 2 hours to install. It would have gone much quicker if the side rails were simple to line up. There was a ton of friction and getting them to slide into position was quite frustrating.

Less than a year from initial purchase and the material on top keeps peeling, looks like the glue breaks down and the material on top the starts to peel back and wrinkle. Already replaced my cover once under warranty. The replacement is showing same issue in a few months, this will be two covers replaced in less than one year. Glad I got a 5yr warranty but would prefer the cover to last longer.
