First off, I cannot afford a new bed/matress so this is better than having to get a new bed. Anyway, my matress is old and it had a topper on it already--got t from my grandson; it was his. Previous height: 9 in matress 3 in topper = 12 inches. My two sets of sheets that I purchased without realizing sheets are different depths--were for a 15 inch drop. So since the sheets were practically new i just added another 3 inches--why buy new sheets? They were practically new--I just needed 3 more inches to make them fit. This new topper on top of the old topper has worked just fine and now my 15 inch depth sheets fit fine. Plus the bottom sheet and the matress pad that i had on my bed already, once put on the bed, held it all together just fine. In the picture it appears the topper is too big but it isn't anymore. I purchased this b/c I wore out my favorite sheets that fit snuggly. The BIG ONE sheets with the 15 in. drop were always wrinkled in the middle of the bed. Ugh. When my old well-fitting sheets wore out, I thought of getting new sheets but why get new sheets when it was just that the other sheets were just too big? Why not get another matress topper to put on the other topper. Two toppers? To equal 15 inches. Yes, Beause this topper has straps to hold it in; and also the sheets and matress pad holds it in--its perfect. Nothing slides off the bed. It seemed a bit too big at first as you will see in the photos, but it now fits the bed well; i think because it takes a little while for it to completly expand. I put it on my bed the day it arrived. I turned the brown side up that is more firm side, and I like the firmness since i had a bit of a valley in the old topper before putting this one on top. I didn't know sheets came in different sizes--i just thought a queen size sheet was a queen size sheet, the end. But anyway, this mattress topper solved my problem and I've had it now for a few weeks, so far so good. It took me a while to type out this review so I hope it helps someone with their decision. You just have to remember its not going to be like a whole new bed and you have to be realistic with your expectations. I'm happy with it. Hope the photos help your decision. Good Luck.
