Love the colors...I got black wood (great finish) with hunter green cloths. Very bold in both colors...looks great. Solid %26 very sturdy 24" chair. The cloth seat and back rest gives you the fleibility that allows you to get a little extra movement and stretching that you can not get from a regular chair. All materials used are top quality...solid wood, cloth material, and heavy duty hinges. I am67 years old, 5'8" and 155lbs male with psoriatic arthritis...so getting up and down from chairs is very important to me. This is the perfect height for me (24"), very easy to get up an down, plenty room to move around (extra wide), ability to lean back and get a good stretch...Really Love My New Chairs. I would recommend to family and friends. Did not install the footrest, never have used one...my feet barely touch the floor. The folding and stacking of these chairs are easy and convenient to carry.
The construction is solid. Very solid chair to sit in. Excellent fit and finish. Seat and back rest are good quality canvas. Easy to assemble. Took me longer to get the chair out of the box and plastic wrap than it did to put it together. I knew going in that the design with the footrest would prevent folding without some extra effort. That is not an issue for me. I did find chairs that allowed the footrest to pivot so the chair would fold for about $100 more. The order was filled correctly and delivered quickly. Very satisfied.
I'll start off with the positive on this chair. It's well made! Seams very sturdy and I love that the seller offers a wide option. I live in the south where everyone loves their cornbread and sweet tea and it shows 😊 We shall see how well it holds up after a few high volume events. The negative is the picture misled me to believe the frame would be black. However, after reading the title, I see it says natural wood frame. I'm not too upset about it because I do believe everything happens for a reason.
The chair is what I needed to sit high because of my disability, easy to get up and down.
Great quality- very pleased with my purchase!
My father-in-law weights 409 lbs. This chair fits him great.
This chair is well worth the money. It looks good and is pretty sturdy. Only negative: I chose this extra wide premium chair as a gift for a 6'6" male who weighs over 200 lbs. It looks great and is ok when a "regular" sized person sits on it, but for a tall person, the seat is a little too shallow.
I am very disappointed in this chair. The rivet that is allows the cross legs to fold was inserted with so much pressure that it is imbedded 1/4 of the way through the cross leg and the area around it is all scratched up, rough and dented. The finish is very poor with areas with almost no finish. The chair has four large scratches about 1/4 inch wide by about an inch long on the insides of the arms,in the same places on both arms. It was easy to assemble the footrest. THE PROBLEM IS THAT IT IS ADVERTISED WITH A STATEMENT THAT SAYS IT ""FOLDS FOR CONVENIENT STORAGE"". It cannot be folded with the footrest in place. I needed a chair that folds completely. The only way to fold this is to remove the footrest, meaning you would have to carry a screw driver whereever you go. Not what I would call ""CONVENIENT."" So if you need a chair that folds with a footrest don't buy this one. I have another director chair that does fold with the footrest on. You could make this chair foldable with the footrest on by cutting a notch in the top of the cross leg that has the hole that the post fits into. You would just have to cut a notch out with a saw almost to the hole that allows the post to rest on the top of the leg. In other words, one cut two inches down and another 1 1/4 inches horizontal to meet the first cut. The pin would then rest on that notch. However the footrest would not be level. If you cut it down further it may weaken the leg. I don't call doing that ""CONVENIENT"" either. I'm surprised the designers in Thailand didn't think of this. There seems to be no quality controle in that factory. So back it goes.
My original review was positive, but 1 year later they are ugly and weathered badly. The wood does not weather well at all. I purchased these March 1st of 2017. I thought it was a fluke that wood and finish on one of the chairs peeled and turned black only 3 months later. These are under a covered deck. Now all 3 look horrible and I'm looking to purchase a completely different set for my deck. I don't believe they come with any long term warranty I can find. Brand new the chairs are beautiful, after a few months look like they have weathered 5 or more years. Wasted money.
description is false as far as folding up. in order to fold the chair, you must first remove the foot rest. also, when building the chair, the seat canvas and the back canvas were both to small and the locks that keep the chair from collapsing were unable to lock. the solution in the directions was to sit in the chair to stretch the fabric. this is unsafe with the safety locks being unable to lock. returned for a refund and will look for a different chair.
