So far so good! Works great. It was easy to install, use and put away. Hint: when the bottom half of the ladder filled with water, then it stayed down under the water...
I agree with other reviewers that this is a nice solid ladder for the price. Also, as others noted, it is a bit difficult to get the nuts started for the bolts that attach the top section, but you can manage with a small wrench and some tape to hold the nut until it starts onto the bolt. The assembly instructions are nearly worthless, but it is mostly obvious anyway. The bolts provided to hold the retaining clips onto the deck are not long enough for 1.5" thick decking and the nuts provided were too large for the bolts. I just used alternate screws, so not a big deal. The one thing that strikes me as strange is that the ladder (vertical) section is at 90 degrees to the top section, but with the standoffs, the ladder is canted outward so the top section does not sit flush with the deck. It works OK anyway, but looks strange and puts more stress on the retaining clips. The outward cant is actually quite comfortable for climbing. I just wonder why the top angel was not increased to match so it would sit flush. If not for this, I would rate 5 stars.
The ladder itself is extremely sturdy and well made. The one problem is mounting the lip mounting device to the ladder. Very tricky. Good luck holding the nut from inside the frame while you insert the screw. I taped the nut to a very small wrench in order to get it started. It was also challenging to mount the mounting hardware to the deck of the boat. Difficult to reach the nuts. Tricky.
