[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was sent this to test and give my honest feedback on. I go through a lot of color pencils, between my kids and myself, we color a lot. These are definitely better than the ones I usually use. They sharpen nicely, without any breaking. They're super smooth and color evenly without any issues of splotching. The colors themselves are very pretty, they also look exactly like the pictures on the box, I do not like it when they show pictures and they're nothing like it. All in all I will for sure be purchasing more colors of these. Very happy with these!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these pencils. They're some of the best coloring pencils on the market. I rank them higher than prismacolor because you get better quality. They're durable with a very rich color. I also love that you can build up the color depending on how hard you press down. I've used these for years and have a degree in fine arts so I feel I know what I'm talking about. They're top tier. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get into art or for someone more seasoned who wants to try out a new medium. 10/10
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very durable. Great color, can use a soft touch for lighter shades or double up for a darker tone. Beautiful earth-like colors. Perfect for drawing landscapes. Light pencils making it easy for anyone to use.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a budding artist in our house who goes through A LOT of supplies. I have bought everything - cheap, expensive, cute, utilitarian - EVERYTHING. These Goldfaber colored pencils are new to us, but very high quality. The colors are rich and pigmented, and the pencils color smoothly. They have held up to my son's abuse very well - he's been using them for a couple of weeks and we have only had one tip break. That's more than I can say for most brands of colored pencils! The colors are very forest-y and he's been having fun practicing his trees. They might be a bit more expensive than other colored pencils, but I think that the quality of the pencils is well worth it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great selection of colored pencils in Landscape by Faber-Castell. The colors are beautiful!! The pencils color smoothly and were so much fun to use! The pencils arrived presharpened but would have liked if they were placed in a tin vs in cardboard packaging as it arrived smashed. The points did not break easily. The tips do wear down quickly though especially if I use them to shade a picture with pressure. Overall, this is a really great quality color pencil set and would not hesitate to buy more from this brand.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Of course, the packing is beautiful with the landscape theme. The pigments are great with anything I've chosen to use them to color. They are definitely durable, haven't had any breaking, yet. The feel, while holding the pencil is consistent with any other color pencil ive used.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kiddo is such a great artist and she enjoyed using using Fabergé-Castell colored pencils. The pencil colors were good for adding dimension either using a light hand or a firmness for shading. what she said was one of the best things about these colored pencils was that they didn't break and need resharpened hardly at all. She enjoyed using the Faber Castella and would buy them if she saw them in stores.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love these Faber-Castell Goldfaber color pencils! The pigments are rich and blend beautifully, especially for nature and landscape drawings. They feel smooth on the paper, not waxy or scratchy, and the colors layer really well. I also appreciate that they're made from sustainable wood — such a nice bonus! The selection of earthy tones in this set is perfect for sketching trees, skies, and outdoor scenes. Definitely great quality for the price.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked this brand of color pencil I did a little drawing and liked the consistency it was creamy and soft. I wanted a soft trawing and the colors just go with anything.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pencils deliver solid value for both students and hobbyists — you're getting a full twelve-color set at a friendly price point from a well-respected name in art supplies. Pigmentation is good: they lay down vibrant and bright color right out of the pencil, offering stronger lay-down than many budget sets. Durability is also respectable: the 3.3 mm cores are SV-bonded by Faber‑Castell to resist breakage and sharpen well, which means less frustration when working on more detailed nature or landscape sketches. Versatility shines in that the set is tailored for landscapes (earthy greens, warm browns, cool blues) but the core quality means you can use them for sketching, shading, layering and general illustration beyond just one subject-type. Ergonomically, the barrels are well-balanced and comfortable to hold for extended sessions, with a good size that's neither too chunky nor too slim. The packaging is straightforward and functional — a tin or sturdy box that keeps the pencils organized and protected, making them easy to transport or store in a sketchbag for field work. On the downside: while their performance is strong for the price, they don't quite reach professional-grade levels of lightfastness or extremely deep layering as seen in higher end lines, so if you're planning archival work or extremely heavy layering you might find limitations. Overall, the Goldfaber 12-count Landscape set is a comfortable, versatile and well-packaged choice with good pigmentation and durability for everyday creative use.
