Great little brush! Very easy to clean and control the water flow.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these watercolor water brushes. They are so convenient to take on the go for travel painting. And as long as you're not doing a painting that requires a wide array of brush sizes this'll work. Just add water to it and dip in your watercolors.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This brush is so cool If you are just beginning to watercolor, you know how hard it is to create the layers and how you need to learn to remove paint and not use too much pigment or water. I wish I had this tool when I was learning. This brush creates those effortless strokes that we all crave in watercolor. I paired mine with my watercolor pencils, I haven't painted watercolor in probably 10 years. This is because I've always had a hard time trying to figure out pressure and strokes, and not using too much pigment. This watercolor pen is a game changer it takes a lot of the guess work out of painting and it's precise too. It's easy to fill, easy to use, and you can even clean it without having to run it underwater. You just use slight pressing pressure where you hold the pen to release just the right amount of water. I was painting a tree and just playing around. This brush gives you such much control I will use this every time now. I can't recommend enough.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased something similar to this many years ago which did not work very well so I was curious about how these types of brushes may have improved throughout the years and so far I feel like this works much better than the previous one I tried. The water flow is more conservative and easier to control. I don't work with watercolors as much as I used to but I feel like this would be a great tool to use with watercolor pencils. I plan on using it for random crafting projects. I also love the color as it stands out from my other brushes and is easy to spot.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Simple and easy to use. Seems durable enough to with stand being tossed in a box for portable usage. I'm more of an abstract artist so precision isn't always my biggest focus but I can get nice clean lines and no issues with leaks.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never used a water brush before and was curious as to how it works! It's so much fun especially to make guess type of games with friends since once it dries it's not totally gone but a little hard to read.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I teach art to kids at a volunteer after school program and some of them are going to love using this Deluxe Water Brush on their artwork to create unique pieces with its portability and durability it will be a great addition
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I signed up for a class in the fall and this will come in very handy. In the meantime I have tried it but I'm too embarrassed to post pictures of my work because it's not very good. I do think this brush is pretty awesome and I can't wait to really try it when I know what I'm doing a little more. It does not trip water. It took me a little bit to figure out exactly how to completely fill it with water. I had to watch a video to do it. Seems to be pretty good with detail and consistency.
I liked the idea of this pen but it doesn't wor as well as I had hoped. The pen doesn't hold very much water inside. Also, the button doesn't really work to dispense the water properly. You either get too little or too much water. I think I'll just invest in some watercolor paint brushes instead of using this. Also, the fibers on this top stain after using it a while no matter how much you clean it.
I thought this would be of high quality because it's Faber-Castell, but this is an incredible disappointment. I've had several water brushes, including some that are off-brand, and I've never had a single one where barely any water would come out of it. After less than a few weeks of use, the tip stays near dry, no matter how much I squeeze the barrel. Not worth the purchase at all.
