Came superfast, great deal for the money. Just like the more expensive kinds. Perfect fit easy to mold , feels great.
I'm so happy with these. It helps me a lot. I cracked a crown because of grinding my teeth at night. It may sound weird but I like the texture when my jaw does clamp down on it. It is easy to shape. The instructions say 160-180 degrees F, but I found that 175 degrees is the best temperature. I made one for myself and my 2 teenage daughters. I made mine first and softened it at 160 degrees because I was concerned about the heat on my teeth causing sensitivity but it was still a little too firm to shape well. So I softened the same one at 170 degree water and had a better result. Even at the warmer temperature it wasn't too hot for my mouth. I use an instant read digital thermometer to test the water. I heat distilled water to 190 degrees in my electric kettle then poured it into a ceramic mug to cool the water just enough. My daughter's I did at 175 degrees and hers molded perfectly. I held the gaurd in the water for about 10 seconds and the edges curled a little just like the instruction said. Its very important to close your lips and suck on it when you first put ot in your mouth in order to get the best shape. There are so many in the pack that even if you mess up you have extras. I'm definitely buying more once I run out. Also, I was a bit concerned about choking on it at night, but it really does clip on well so that's not an issue. The only downside is that It makes me drool when I'm sleeping on my side lol.
This product is perfect for those that grind their teeth. I found them to be less exspensive than those the dentist offer. They mold perfectly to your teeth and are so comfy to wear! Comes with a container and ten molds. A fine purchase!
These night guards are quite thin, and therefore I'm not sure how much protection they actually give my teeth during the night. But they are easy to mold and the handle makes doing so without burning your hands easier.
I have a bad tendency to grind my teeth when I sleep. These aren't bad but don't solve my issue. I slept with them on and still managed to chew the inside of my mouth raw. It tends to shrink quite substantially when in warm water and doesn't cover my molars where I tend to grind.
I had to put the mouth guard in boiling water twice because the first time didn't work. The second time it worked. You must suck the air between your teeth and the mouth guard as instructed. I also had to press my fingers firmly on the outside and inside of the mouth guard to get the guard to mold to my teeth. Using the tongue did not work for me. Please do not attempt to talk with the mouth guard in place; it will come out. I found that if I sucked in the air again at night a couple more times, it fitted much better. When I use the next one, I will be able to complete the process much more easily. It was comfortable after all the little kinks were figured out.
I liked the fact that it i had something to hold onto while dipping it in the hot water. I did, however, takes several passes in the heat to get it to be pliable enough to make impressions into it with my teeth. And then, when cutting off the little tab that you hold onto, it was kind of a rough surface. I'll just have to file it down somehow.
I expected what I got.,for the price. they do not fit securely, to the extent I am afraid i'd swallow the apparatus if I feel asleep with it in my mouth. I use the mouth guard for when I do hard chores or exercise. it's functional for that. thank you for letting me review this.
Thick and hard even after molding to my teeth they still felt big and make me drool. They're too think and stiff
I attempted this three times before I could get an imprint. Slept in it one night and it made a sore on my gum so I tried to return it, but they wouldn't take it back, but they did refund my money
