I wrote up a whole review for the 10' one we bought also, and I should have copied and pasted that! So, we bought 2 of these 8' ones. We liked those so well, that we immediately bought a 10' one as well, because we thought my husband and son could right on the 10' one or my 2 daughters at the same time. We decided we liked using these sitting down and being able to stretch out or lounge on them. We live right by a lake that doesn't allow swimming, but you can use paddleboards. So, this way we can get some water refreshment, while not actually 'swimming'. We have kayaks, but it seemed to boring to kayak on a lake we are so familiar with......but, paddleboarding is a little more interesting, and of course, you are more in contact with water on a hot day.....so, we bought these to make more use of the lake and our kids love using these. I did lose the main large fin on one of these on the first day out. I had clipped it in, but it still came out. There is a lot of seaweed and waterlilies, or maybe I put pressure on it, when I stood on it in a shallow area and fell off? Not sure. I wrote the company right away and they said that it isn't normally covered in the warranty, but thanked me for my continued support, since I had just ordered a 10' one as well, and sent me a new fin right away. The 10' ones are quite long! Didn't seem really wider.....more just longer. So, I think that perhaps we could have just gotten another 8' one.....but now we have both. If you want to use it sitting down, then you might prefer a kayak paddle. These really skim quickly and easily across the surface of the water.
Great stable board wish it had more d rings but for the price is amazing
I liked the sturdiness of the PaddleBoard but because the pump did not work I never could tell if I under-inflated. We kept pumping but the gage never moved, we emailed and have not received a response. Once we started to stand up on it, it didn't fell right so we kept pumping. We were afraid of overpumping so stopped. We use it close to shore until we get a response about the gage.
Good product and good seller. Seller quick in responding question and shipment is fast. This paddle board is good for beginner and actually it doesn't take a while to set up. Instructions is easy to follow. Although overall this is a great board, i gave 3 stars because mine has a leak near the valve. When i took it the first time today to the lake, i saw air bubble on the side of the valve. I deflated right away and clean it up, repacked it and returned it to walmart store without any problem. We bought this size and the one size larger and there is no problem with the larger one.
When something goes wrong, this company asks you to REPAIR the damaged brand new product instead of honoring the warranty, and then they also bait and switch your refund. My paddleboard had a leak I noticed the second time I used it, and they told me I had to repair it over exchanging or returning it. Then they offered me $30 for “inconvenience,” as well as a full refund. When it came down to it, I needed more than $30 in my time and supplies to properly repair this, and on top of this, Walmart didn't back me up as the customer, but expected me to repair it. I also purchased a second paddleboard before I realized the first one had an issue, and it had some major shifty red flags in the shipping process-it got permanently stuck in Salt Lake in transit, (and it's still there months later), and only after begging and going back and forth a ridiculous amount did the agree to ship me a new one. Save stress, time, and money, and buy one from a more reputable retailer. I won't be purchasing something like this from Walmart.com EVER again because I expected a reasonable return policy and got scammed out of $200.
