Far Cry 2 - PlayStation 3

The single-player is extremely immersive. I think it's 50 square kilometers of open African terrain with savahhnas, jungles, and deserts. The weapons you get jam after you spend a lot of time with them, and you can choose to do missions at whatever time of day you want (day, night, 4:35 in the afternoon) by sleeping until your watch alarm goes off. And, you treat your own injuries, too. A word of warning: it can sometimes take a very long time to move across the map because it is so large. Multiplayer is pretty good too. Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the diamond (like capture the flag), and Uprising (where you have to capture control points and attack the enemy leader.) However, the thing that will really keep the multiplayer fresh is the ability to make custom maps with the included map editor. The map editor is undoubtedly the best map editor for consoles (it's in the xbox 360 version as well as the PS3). You can easily edit the terrain (height, smoothness, noise), buildings (plenty to choose from, or make your own with walls and constuction beams), and you can enter the map in realtime whenever you want to. You can place explosive barrels, boxes, sheds, vehicles, and tons of stuff. And, if you like a map that someone created online, you can download and edit that map if you want to (it'll have created by: and modified by: so you know who originally made it). This game will last much longer than other games, so the price only being $60 for the expansive single player, multiplayer, and map editor makes it a great deal.

This is one of the ps3 most under-rated games. You would get more than you expect from this game.

I Can't believe the gameplay! The Story mode is very believable and awesome. The Fire and Destruction is very real. And also the choice of weapons are very good. But my most favorite part about this game is to make, download, challenge on, and edit others maps.

I have played all of the COD games and especially liked COD4 and COD-World at War…they are excellent shooters; however they suffer from being too short and all follow a linear pattern. Far Cry 2 does suffer from some gun aiming issues as one reviewer stated; however I found the rest of the game to be extremely excellent! All games follow a path to the end; however you can take your own path to get there and you basically have an entire world to explore as the game states. Game play is also vast and is what you make it…I have played for several hours and only completed 12% of the game. If you like shooters, vastness, building your own characters and having your actions directly affect the game…then this game fulfills all of those expectations.

Great game . Love the single player . Hate to play online games . If they combine Farcry1 @ Farcry 2 together . With the creatures from Farcry 1 . Would be a great new game . To come out. Hopeful one day .

Amazing visuals and 1st person mayhem!

If time spent playing a game is any indication of how good it is then this is a fantastic game. I got this game for my son, an experienced gamer, and he raves about it!

There are many things wrong with this game, one, the aimming a gun work very bad, Two, loading time is long, Three, While running you cant turn corners and it bouncesaround, four, there are many more, just keep with COD4 because its more like the real thing than Farcry 2 will ever be.
