Handwashing dishes is the norm, yet dishwasher safe is safe. The red color radiates in the kitchen. The colander is large enough to handle more than one regular box of spaghetti. A head of iceberg lettuce plus twenty cherry tomatoes danced fearlessly as they showered. It seems well made, no issues to date. The bottom feet also work well, which was the one feature that made me think twice since they appeared a bit small. No balance problems.
This Farberware red soft grips colander has been very handy since I got it. Love the handles and the drainage holes are the right size to handle my everyday needs. It's study, not cheap and does not bend. It's a keeper!
My now previous colander did not have a raised stand, so in order not to let the contents touch the sink, I either would use the colander while it was resting on my dish drainboard or else rest it on top of a large bowl in my sink. But now I don't have to worry about that.
1st-This was not listed as "low in stock". My husband saw 3 more on the shelf the day after I ordered it. I think the person building my order just couldn't bother trying to find it, so it was shipped the next day. But it's much better than the metal colander I had. does have holes big enough for any pasta to fall through.
The collander was delivered to the wrong house. I got a refund and the person that assisted was helpful, Syeda. Ironically, the collander was then brought to my house in the evening by whomever received it at their house. So, I'm back to Walmart today to return the collander since I received a refund already.
I'm very happy with this Red and Black food strainer, I have mostly red and black small appliances on my kitchen counter top. So this strainer works well for all your food that needs to be strained of it's water like sliced potatoes, carrots, spaghetti noodles and etc. I don't think you can go wrong by getting yourself one of these, I know that I didn't !.!.!
good product. works as it should handles are sturdy, and pretty durable. it will last a while. I think everything cost to much so it got a 3 in value.... thats mostly my opinion but things cost way to much anymore I would buy again
The colander. is a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be but that's OK. I cook a lot of pasta. The Grip handles are great except they're not big enough I guess nobody figures people are gonna put their hands through the openings. I do when I work with pasta in hot water. It's large enough to collect vegetables or fruits from the garden. This is a good product
Actually, I really can't review this product because my product came damaged from the store so this is no reflection on the manufacturer at all however, I was really disappointed. I have been waiting to get this particular calendar. I tried to order at least twice and it's sold out so I had to wait for it to coming back in stock and when I got it, it was damaged so I really don't have much to say about this calendar. Just wish I had the opportunity to really get a quality product from the store.
Really cheap and had extra chunks coming off of it. Weird to come across plastic kitchenware that isn't dishwasher safe these days. So can I not strain pasta in it? What happens if it gets soap on it? I guess they can charge us the same price for something so inferior it might even put your health at risk. Really disappointed in this brand lately. It was always budget friendly but it was fine in a pinch and I didn't feel like I was potentially poisoning people by using it.
