sturdy, quite sharp, easy grip cuts meats, veggies like butter. i would say it's not good at anything that's too soft as it will press more than cut but that's a minor quibble. great price less than a fraction of the cost of many other knives listed here.
I love faberware knives. they are sharp and inexpensive. I don't like the serated ones so the straight blade is great on these you just have to remove the sticker on the blade. I didn't know it was a sticker until the second time I washed them.
Sturdy & efficient knives. Good quality for the price. We wanted sharp knives for the kitchen drawer.
I wish I would have gotten the serrated edge knife instead. This cuts steak but you have to use more effort - difficult for my 8 and 10 year old boys and sometimes difficult for me. But still, it does cut steak. Not a bad purchase.
Like that there aren't huge seareded cutouts in knife so they won't rip n shred thru meat, rather slice as expected. Lightweight but just fine for me
I expected to be able to slice a tomato with these but couldn't, which is the premier test for a truly sharp knife. I would have preferred a serrated blade, which I will order the next time when I get upset with these and throw them out.
On the knives is a sticker it reads "hand wash only dry immediately" This sticker was not on the knives when I viewed them nor was it in the description. CHEAP MATERIALS, BUYER BEWARE
The blades are not sharp at all. Useless for cutting any meat. I have been washing by hand and within three months the handles have fallen off the metal.
I've been married 26 yrs and still use the Farberware I received at my Bridal shower. So when we needed new steak knives I bought the Farberware 4 pack Steak knives. They are 4 months old and they are rusting and don't cut well. Everyone complains about having to use them. The 30 yr old Ginsu knives I got rid off cut better than these and they weren't rusting either. Big mistake...
DO NOT BUY THESE As soon as I opened the package each knife was different in edge angle and sharpness, which really surprised me, since even cheaper knives have a more consistent edge. I resharpened the ones which weren't as sharp as they should have been. After using the knives a couple times, they were dull, and unlike the company states, they do need sharpening. Now less than 1yr later my wife was washing the dishes and one of the knife blades broke right at the first rivet. I would never buy Farberware knives again, I have cheap junk knives I have had for years and years which cut better than these and dont break.
