I recently started using these Farberware Professional 4 piece chop house steak knife set, and one of the first things I noticed is how much I like the handles. They are not "skinny" like my old ones, which were hard to hold firmly and cut a steak, for instance. However, with this set, it is much easier to get a better grip with the wider handle and therefore have more control when cutting your food, and definitely more comfortable for cutting meat. I've owned several Farberware kitchen products in the best, mainly pots and other cooking utensils, but I don't think I've had ay steak knives by them before. I wondered if the blades would be sharp -- I have elderly parents who have to have a LOT of help cutting their food, and ideally with a sharp blade, they could cut it themselves. The first time I used these, I realized the blades are great and as sharp as I had hoped, so they should not be a problem for the parents. Now that I'm convinced it's worth the investment, I'm looking forward to getting a set of at least 8.

Farberware 4 piece chop house steak knives are incredible well made. Each steak knife is very large the handle is made of plastic and is dark black in color.There are two round silver circles on each knife. The feel of each handle is like smooth sand,soft but there is a grip to it. The handle is curved so it is extremely comfortable in the hand when you grip it tightly. The blade itself is shiny with a almost mirror like surface.The tip is very pointy and sharp.It is There are lots of groves that will make cutting your meat very smooth and easy. It is perfect for cutting meat and poultry. Made from high-carbon,stainless steal blades for strength and durability.It has full tang,riveted handle for balance and control. Ergonomically designed handle for comfort with cutting . I love my Farberware professional 4 piece chop house steak knives. They cut well and I trust the Farberware brand they have been around for 100 years . I recommend these knives.

I was a bit hesitant in requesting these, but my doubt was quickly set aside upon receipt. I personally prefer smaller steak knives, but these are nice steak knives. They're well-balanced, quite sharp and comfortable in the hand, especially arthritic or weak, aged hands. They're easy to maintain and a good choice for anyone looking for a good set of quality steak knives for a reasonable price. They come packaged four to a set with serrated carbon stainless steel blades. Each knife is carbon stainless steel. Each knife as a full tang triple rivet handle and should be hand-washed in warm water and mild detergent. Rinse and dry immediately. Not recommended for dishwasher. These are the same type of knives you would find in steak houses. Cuts easily through steaks, chicken and pork chops. I even was even able to try them on a very tough piece of New York Steak from a local supermarket and they cut through with little effort. That was the best test ever to try these with perfect timing for their arrival. Overall, this set is a very good deal. I love these knives! I read a few disappointing reviews on these saying they don't build them like their older models (like the handles). I disagree. These are very good knives - - amazing quality for their low price. These are not small ordinary cheap dinner plate steak knives, but are true heavy duty, solid, razor sharp kitchen knives... be careful with them, because they'll cut very easy. Although not as high quality as a heavy duty camping/hunting knife, it would be a good substitute for one in a pinch. You won't cut a small tree down with it, but it should cut small branches. I've used the same knife for all my kitchen & cutting needs to see how it would wear down. It seems to be just as sharp as the day I got them. The handles seem very robust, & solid. They should hold up well. The shape is easy to hold, & should help avoid accidents, or fatigue when doing lots of cutting. As long as you don't plan on cutting small trees or elephant bones, they'll do fine in any kitchen. They are VERY sharp, so be careful, & don't leave them where children or pets can get at them (kids, cats & dogs like to get at the the table or counter when your back is turned).

I received this set of 4 farberware chop house steak for free in exchange of my honest review. I order this knifes because is real hard to find good knifes that last some months. When i received the set of 4 knifes the first thing I noticed was they are heavy, they don't feel cheap at all. I like that very much , sometimes the knifes are Sharp but after a few months the handle falls out for no reason. This handle is heavy and hard. The first day we used them we wore trying to open some oysters , we try to open them with the knife and it didn't break or chip on the tip. When we couldn't open the oyster the way we hit the oyster with the handle and its handle is so hard and steady the oyster finally open and the knife looked like new, that's how good this knifes are. So after i noticed they had great handles i wanted too see how good they cut the steak or chicken. I bought two pounds of chicken fillets, i stack two pieces when I cut both at the same time the knife are so good it cut through both of them like nothing. This knifes are not like other knifes you have to cut the piece of meat or chicken more then once. This knifes are great for everything, can be used for fruit, vegetables, chicken and any type of meat. I recommend this steak knifes to everyone. Specifically to us mom's who want to save time cutting or dinner up.

These knives surprised my wife and I by their superb quality. The first thought that came to mind was they are beautiful. My wife finds they are useful in the kitchen for her everyday use cutting meats and vegetables. They are very strong and sharp with serrated edge part of the way from the tip. The handles are helpful to hold by their shape and are classy looking to display in ones kitchen. By the way, not only do they cut the tough stuff, they even cut bread very nicely.

I first used these knives on half of a leftover burrito from some restaurant, and you know how thick those can be. The knife went through it with no problems. It goes through steak and chicken with no problem also. I really like the knives.

The Faberware Chop House Steak Knives are awesome! They are big and they cut threw steak and pork chops like they are warm butter! Our old steak knives are really old, like 20 years old, and they are small and certainly don't cut through much anymore so it was awesome to have new steak knives that are big and sharp. The fact that they are big makes it easier to hold on to, especially for the 10 year old, she has better control when using this knife. If you are thinking of buying new steak knives, I suggest you look no further, these are awesome!

I have a set of steak knives but they are rather small compared to these and my husband always complained about the size. These are quite bigger and come with a nice handle so your hand does not slip about. They are also pretty sharp. However, I noticed that some of the little pins holding the handle and the blade part together protrude slightly - not enough to cause harm but its a bit annoying, hence only four stars. They are nothing special but a nice change from my old ones.
