Farberware Classic Series Stainless Steel Sauce Pan with Lid, 2-Quart

I like the high wall. It's thinner than for what I had hoped, but it will serve its purpose just fine. The lid fits nice and snug, but not so tight that you have to yank on it. I like the see-through lid. Feels sturdy and sits flat on the burner. For the price, you can't go wrong.

Great stainless steel sauce pan. Size is very useful and I like the glass lid so you can see the food inside while cooking. I bought two so I'll always have one in this size!

I've owned Farberware for many years, and this pan lived up to the brand's reputation. Well made, durable, attractive. Love it!

I bought other Farberware, but this is the first with a glass lid. When it said Classic I expected it to be "exactly" like the regular Classic, which I have most every size in. Everything is nice and "classic" except for the handle. It is not made like the regular Classic. It has a different design. Since I have arthritis in my hands I like a handle that I can hold the entire handle to help me pick it up when it is half full or more. This handle does not have the smooth edge as the regular Classic. It also does not fit the pan like the regular Classic. The edges where I would normally grip the handle close to the pan are more sharp and I cannot hold the pan there without a pan holder, which defeats the purpose of a covered handle that does not get hot. The handle does not get hot it's just not easy for me to hold. I hope they get more complaints like this and in the future make the handle like the rest of the metal top Classic pots. I looked at other glass top Farberware and the 3 qt. "Traditions" appears to have the same handle, which they have a picture of it on the side. I haven't decided whether I'll return it or not. Otherwise, I like the pot just fine.

The handle is too small. the pan hangs down in your hand even when empty. for such an expensive pan the handle is poor design.

It is an ok pan. The handle gets hotter during cooking than I expected based on other pans I have used.

First time I cooked with this item the inside of the pot where the food touched it became tarnished and really not usable. The gas burner was between low and medium, never on high. I had a previous Farberware cooking set for 15 years and never had a problem. I will try Farberware again cause I loved my old set.

Unfortunately I received an empty box so I can't say anything about it.
