The knife is sharp, so be we'll see how it holds up over time. The sharpener inside the sheath seems like a poor design as you can cut yourself by trying to sharpen the blade as you're removing it from the sheath.

I can't figure out why this isn't sharp. I have another Farberware that was in a set that looks a lot less quality and it's even lighter in weight yet far more sharp. You couldn't cut a pineapple with this much less something like a turnip.

This knife is HUGE. I had to send it back. I am a. small, hadicapped woman, and I need a knife I can manage. It is about 12” long.
