The mat is heavy enough not to curl up and the metal dish rack is equally sturdy. Sometimes the red coasters on the rack fall off but you can glue them on or discard them.
Loving it! Big enough for all my dishes.
It looks good and it's long lasting
It is not only attractive and well made...It works perfectly with it's drainage capabilities.
I searched a bit to find a rack that was about the same large size as the worn one we were replacing. This one is pefect! It looks and feels of nice quality, and the red "pops" in our kitchen. We did retain our old wire under-pan "angle piece" to enable this set-up to adequately drain water into the sink, because although this has a built-in angle to it, the water would stop and puddle up just before the "drip lip". So I would recommend using an additional angle piece to make this drain perfectly, so if you have an old one, use it with this. We love and highly recommend this nicely priced rack ($19.46 + tax, in-store p/u price)!!! :-)
I'm really happy with this. I did have to prop up the one end as there wasn't enough gravity for water to drain into the sink. It's solid, which was not the case with a cheaper one I tried. One surprise was the silverware caddie which has three slots (knives, forks, spoons) and is incredibly convenient.
just set up and seems very sturdy and nice locking.
This Faberware dish rack is a decent buy for the price. However, the main issue I have with it is the angle of the drain platform. It sports a better design than that of the dishrack I previously owned, which was a Sterilite, and it seems like Sterilite hasn't changed their design much in the last 10 yrs or so, because from an initial view when looking at it, it still allows the water in the drain platform to pool rather than run off, which became an issue of a smell due to the water pooling in the center of the platform and taking too long to evaporate which left a slimy orange residue behind to clean, which is why I searched for a new and hopefully better dishrack The design of the Farberware IS significantly better. The lip of the tray can extend over the edge of the sink so the need for creating a risk of pulling the tray dangerously over the edge of your sink to get good drainage isn't a problem as it was with the Sterilite rack. The design DOES alleviate the pooling problem to a degree, but it still doesn't drain off as well as one would expect as it still leaves a significant amount of water on the drain platform but the remaining water DOES evaporate quickly with a little time, thus there isn't a lingering smell. I recommend placing the utensils bucket on the narrow, rear side of the wire rack to facilitate better drainage. Placing it as shown in the photo doesn't seem to work all that well. To facilitate even more drainage and runoff, I placed an empty container beneath the drain platform on the rear end (where the angle is already created) to lift it higher, and increasing the angle. I don't exactly recommend doing this as it shifts the weight of the dishes and could cause the rack to fall either into the sink or slip off the counter due to the added height (hasn't happened to me as of yet, but it IS a possibility that it may happen to someone else if they try this with their rack at home so do this at your own discretion (thinking about creating some sort of wedge to place beneath it.)
I like the design because all of the water drains out into the sink ; it is very thick
Good thing this is no longer available. It seems sturdy and durable, though kind of bulky
