Farberware Professional Stainless Steel 4 Sided Box Grater

I absolutely love this product because as always. The old ways I have found are the best ways. To cut up vegetables. all, I will say about possibly bad. One is that that's you have to be careful not to cut yourself. but otherwise a great tool for cooking.

Strong, made well, and just the right size! I recommend wearing kitchen gloves when using. It is very sharp, so it can be used to accomplish quick grading/slicing!

Finding a sturdy cheese grater is hard. I purchased this one not two months after buying another one that had a plastic handle, which snapped off. This one is easy to use. I like the square base over the rounded base on another I have. The way I grate cheese, I need that straight edge. A round edge causes it to slide on the counter. (To visualize, I angle my grater. I don't hold it upright.) Another bonus is the larger grating holes and sharp blades. Only time will tell if it holds up better than cheaper metal box graters.

It was Thanksgiving Eve, and I was busy cooking casseroles to bake the next day. My box grater that I had used for years, finally said "bye bye - I'm done." I needed to grate cheese and lemons and oranges, so I drove to my Walmart, and was very pleased that they had one of these graters left. It was meant to be! I purchased it, not really caring if it was a good one or not; I just needed one so I could finish food prepping for Thanksgiving feast. Much to my surprise, it was sturdier than the one that I just retired from my kitchen. I'm impressed! It's nice to have one that is new and that isn't flimsy like my prior grater. Go ahead - get this one, because it is very versatile, stury and good quality.

I like the look, feel, and durability of this item. Unfortunately, I had to return it because it was no longer needed. I would have loved to have kept it, but it wasn't my money so I had to return it. The item was sturdy, and not flimsy like other ones. I also liked the rubber seal around the base so that the grater wouldn't slide when using it. A great tool overall.

I like the grater. Very easy to use - just have to be careful not to grate your hands! Good quality. Priced a bit too high, but everything is these days.

This is hands down the best box grater I've ever had! Thick gauge metal so it doesn't bend and wobble. There's nothing worse than a wobbly shredder up against a huge russet potato! The handle has a great grip. Of course all the different shredding options are awesome. I use the side grater for potato chip slices and it worked great! Excellent and necessary kitchen gadget.

The Farberware box grater is the best one I have seen in a while. It is very sharp; I couldn't believe how dull my old one had got. It is good and sharp, so it doesn't juice up your vegetables. It has different graters on each side, like the old style which still works best on coleslaw. It shreds cheese nicely, slices cucumbers, grates about anything you need, my husband even done hashbrown potatoes. Previous dull and rusted, this one is made of stainless-steel metal, so it won't rust. I really like that it has rubber on handle and on the bottom, so helpful to keep from slipping. It has a good weight and feel to it, comfortable to use. Impressed with the quality.

I bought this grater in June, but by October it broke at the seam. It is not soldered. It has a rubber adhesive strip (gasket?) holding the square, folded metal together. It was never washed in the dishwasher. Always washed by hand and let air-dry. A shame, because it worked well before it broke.
