This is a terrific product! I have purchased many jar openers over the years and they never work. This one does. It is deep enough to really grab the lid. It is simple to use, just squeeze the handle to tighten it to fit the jar. Then twist the jar open. I liked it so much, I have been buying as gifts for others. And it is Farberware, a reputable brand.
Ok, so I played with this item after taking it out of packaging. I have problems with my fingers opening coke bottles. It easily fits on the 2 liter Diet Rite bottle. I had previously opened it so I tried to tighten it with the jar opener. It did tighten it! If it just opens my bottle a little it's a win! Worked great on pickle jar, salsa jar, Mayo and spaghetti jar! I am happy with this product! I was gifted this product so I could give an honest review. My review is this is a win!
This jar opener was gifted to me. As someone who suffers from joint pain, I have to sometimes get creative when trying to open jars or perform other tasks in the kitchen. I used to use knives or spoons to pop the seal on jars. I've ruined more than a few doing so! This is a perfect instrument designed to help in opening jars.
I'm used to the old fashioned rubber circle to open jar lids, so I thought this was brilliant when I was gifted this product to provide an honest review. It definitely required less work because of the leverage. It was quite easy to adjust to any lid size and I did have to squeeze so hard. However, the black rubber piece kept sliding off. This would be beneficial for someone with arthritis, carpel tunnel syndrome or any wrist injury. But, be mindful of the fact that it will leave a small dent in the lid, if that is something that concerns you.
. I was gifted this product so I could write an honest review, and trust me...it's been great so far . I have opened alot of different type jars . I have a hard time with strength and at first trying to use this correctly was a challenge for me but once I got the hang of the opener I can now use it with ease . Thansk for a great product . I recomment this to anyone with strength issues and RA issues .
I was gifted this jar opener in exchange for my honest review. This was a totally new experience for me, I had always used the old type metal round opener that goes around the entire lid and you squeeze it and turn. My mother always had them when I was growing up. Then I got one of the flat rubber mats that you lay on the jar lid and it give you the grip you need to open a jar. This is completely different and took me a little while to figure out. Once I worked with it for a few minutes I got the jars open quickly. The soft grip handle is a big help because you do have to grip it hard. It is a Farberware product which means it will last along time. I would recommend it to other people.
I received this item as part of a friend and family promotion. For me works good.
I was gifted this device to write an unbiased review. This device allows any user to easily open any tightly sealed jar with ease. The build quality of the device was lacking and had sharp edges. With my limited usage of the device, I have found the rubber grip to slide off easily. This device is also in my opinion a burden to use when wanting to quickly open a jar, having to line up the device correctly takes longer than twisting off the lid.
I was gifted this jar opener and asked to write an honest review. I have used the opener twice and find it a little tricky to get the correct grip. If I needed it more often I would probably get more adept at using it. It might be overkill in the sense that using a rubber gripper is easier and quicker.
I received this item as part of a friend and family promotion. Did not like and had trouble opening jars with it. So it sits in a drawer.
