It works

Anonymous October 28, 2024

This pressure cooker has the traditional classic design, which is exactly what I was looking for. I cooked red beans to my preferred soft texture, although the skin still was a tad tougher than I like (which very well may be due to the beans being old). To test for aluminum content, I placed a magnet on the cooker and indeed, as expected from stainless steel, it stuck to the metal (aluminum not attracting magnets, according to a website). Very pleased!

New Pressure cooker replacing 20 year old one!

moni December 20, 2024

I purchased this on Black Friday and used it today to make chicken soup. It came out perfect. The only suggestion I have is the directions are not specific enough. I would have loved to have viewed a short video of how to put it together and use it. This model is far different than my former one which was 20 years old!

Good Solid Pressure Cooker

Clearwater Handyman October 1, 2024

This pressure cooker made it easy to start up again. Nice simple heavy stainless steel design with modern safety features the old aluminum model from my past didn't have. Beans, chicken, beef stew, etc all done perfectly and in a fraction of the time compared to a traditional pot with a loose fitting lid. Of course you have to be intelligent enough to obey the rules and resist filling it past the half or two thirds marks depending on what your cooking along with avoid foods know to create large amounts of foam when they boil. Some here sadly don't appear to be very good at following rules and have suffered for it. My daughter liked mine so much I gave the second one I picked up to her.

Under Pressure Cooking?

Lyndie November 26, 2023

I bought Farberware stainless steel pressure cooker. Mama had one for YEARS. Every-time I heard the “hissing”, I knew she was cooking something wonderful!!! It was green beans with bacon, with whole potatoes, or a pot roast, meatloaf, etc. When I used the Farberware pressure cooker, I followed the directions for what I wanted to cook quickly. The food cook quicker when it's under pressure and for some reason, just tastes better. I made the green beans with bacon for Thanksgiving and they turned out just like I was back home. Word to the wise. Add the amount of water/stock to the pot NOTE: . Your time starts when you hear the pressure cooker begin to hiss. Then set the clock for the food you have in it. When it's time for your food to be done, take it off the stove, put the pot in the sink, run it under COLD water until the hissing completely stops. Grab the handles and pull the top one to the right and the bottom one to the left and VOILA it opens. Now you can see and smell what you have cooked. It really is a much shorter time than the oven or crock pots. Now there's nothing wrong with ovens, nor crock pots. I bought the pressure cooker for electric stoves. There are electric ones, too. Buy one and enjoy cooking again.

Highly recommend buying this

Thomas November 28, 2023

Arrived ahead of scheduled delivery date. No damage. Very attractive item. It isn't bogged down with extra devices. I purchased an instapot previously and returned it the next day because it was ( for me) very complicated. It took me an hour just to figure out how to get the lid off ! Love this pressure cooker.
