this is great! actually fits the size of the burner for even heating. most pans are larger that the burner so that the food doesnt cook the same around the edges. this is perfect. non stick, even heat, not too heavy with see thru lid. handle on lid WILL get hot so be careful.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Farberware 3 quart covered straining saucepan is incredible! I love the design and color on this one. The pour spout makes it so much easier, and way more convenient! It's constructed of Diamondmax to make it Nonstick. The handles are stainless steel, and dual riveted for comfort and stability. The lid is shatter-resistant. It's oven safe to 500 degrees fahrenheit, and dishwasher safe. I absolutely love everything about this! The handle makes it so much easier when holding. The pour spout is a huge time saver, as I don't have to dirty any other dishes. Another time saving feature is, it heats up fast, so less time cooking! It's just overall excellent! Lastly, the quality is phenomenal, definitely very durable! This has quickly become one of my favorite saucepans to use, it's the only one I reach for now. I will definitely be looking into a complete set!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the ridges on the bottom to get those perfect grill marks. The yellow color is beautiful and makes me want all yellow cookware now. It has a nonstick cooking surface so food doesn't stick and it also makes cleaning a breeze. I will definitely be buying more Farberware products in the near future.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] absolutely love this pot. It’s so easy to drain pasta or veggies without having to take the lid off or worry about water splatter. It’s just absolutely a must have in any kitchen whether you’re up starter cook or somebody that’s more advanced. This is a game changer for cooking pastas, veggies sauce, etc. that you drain or need to pour over top of something it’s just perfect.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The perfect addition to our cookware. I love the design and color. It heats up quickly and the handle does not get hot. Perfect to boil water or sauté a large amount of food. The lid fits perfectly. Would recommend.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pan has definitely been tested! Sausage links, chicken cutlets, all kinds of food. Each time, it cleans with ease. It cooks evenly. I actually like the way the cutlets come out better than any other pan I have. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the market for new pans.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved this grill pan, its size is ideal for a good amount of a lunch, perfect for salmon, chicken breasts and steak! I tried it with this type of meat and I really liked the detail it left on them, it heats very well, the food doesn't stick, you just have to be careful with the handle because if you leave it on the heat for a long time it gets hot, but highly recommended!
I got a good price on this 10 inch, 3 qt. saute pan with lid. I was advised to go inexpensive because the nonstick coating gets scratched and wears off after a few years regardless of how expensive the pan is. I like the size of the pan, the straight sides, and having a lid, i.e. that it's a saute pan and not a fry pan with a lid. The handle is hollow and open at the end. I thought that would hold water but it drains and dries well. It does, however, get hot quickly so always use a potholder to handle it when cooking.
What drew me to these were 1) the Farberware reputation (my G-FIL used to work for y’all and I can’t count the times I’ve heard about the “quality of work they created”). 2) the color to match the yellow accent pops throughout my kitchen. This is now the second set of Farberware that I’ve owned. While I do like the light-weight, deep pots, both the handles on the pots and lids become too hot to handle, rather quickly. I cannot open or transport them without the safety of potholders. Unfortunately despite my choice of silicone and cotton potholders, the grip feels clumsy and I am terrified they will slip and fall when tilted to spoon out their contents or transfer them into the sink. **PLEASE KEEP YOUR CHILDREN AND PETS OUT OF THE KITCHEN TO AVOID BURNING THEM. So far (it’s been 3 weeks) the non-stick hasn’t chipped and the bottoms remain free from the black burned on grease. The utensils supplied are poor quality- worse than the dollar tree, seriously, so maybe donate them to your kids’ play kitchen on a short term basis. I now remember my previous set were a wedding registry suggestion, as a nod to my G-FIL, when we were super young and poor, but they didn’t last long and actually did cause the burn-scar on finger. We’ve had Farberware, Cuisinart (phenomenal silicone handles but their non-stick scratches with plastic utensils) Circulon ($$$ & hard to clean the grooves), and Red Cooper (ceramic-easy to clean the inside, not the bottoms). I’m no Bobby Flay so I’ll keep my pop of yellow for right now, but for the same money, you can definitely find something safer!
Worst I didn’t have it a week and started scratching doesn’t cook even.Total waste of money.Very surprised at f
