Worth the upgrade from the DVD
This was such a great addition to the Criterion Collection. I had watched the movie a couple of times on DVD, and the upgrade was absolutely worth it! The signature reds were always a problem at the lower resolution, but here they are vivid and add to the ambience very well. If you've seen this before give it a second look, and if you have never seen it you are in for a treat.

Wonderful UHD of Classic Film
This is another wonderful UHD release from Criterion. The new encode on the UHD disc breathes new life into this classic film, enhancing the visual and audio experience, while a solid set of special features on the accompanying Blu-ray provide new insights into the film. It is an easy recommendation for fans of foreign cinema.

Amazing film from Criterion
This is a wonderful film from Criterion. If you are interested in Asian cinema or world cinema, I highly recommend it. The 4K Blu-ray does not include Dolby Vision, but it still looks fantastic.
