The last one I bought was 5 years ago. it still works. I purchase a new one this year because its falling apart and I was concern that it would quit working in the middle of this winter.I also would like to add that I paid less than $3 dollars for it. when I began to search for a new one. I found prices any where from $15 dollars to $52 . that what I call price gouging.. They are only warranted for one yr. I was just was lucky..
Works great shipped to me fast my birds are happy to drink and bathe in the birdbath despite the freezing temps
I have two, one in a bird bath and one under a large feeder tray on my deck. Both are controlled by on/off timers I set according to the upcoming temperature.
Just what I was looking for
product sinks but nothing s rock cant fix. seems to keep ice away in MI so far
I had my doubts when I took it out of the box. I put it in the bath with a rock on top to jold it there. The bath has stayed open. Now I havent seen any birds in it yet. But I guess they will gind it when they need to.
So far, so good. The temp w/wind chill has gotten down to around 10 degrees F and no sign of ice. I fill mine every day and clean it twice a week (I have hard well water). I would highly suggest cleaning it once a week at a minimum if under or near a feeder and seeds drop, the warmed water caused some seeds to sprout lol! But my backyard friends love having water. (Not just birds, the deer, opossum, raccoons and a couple of stray cats seem to all appreciate having a place to get a drink!)
My little birdies love that they have fresh water while everything else is frozen. I've only had it for about a week. I did have to put rocks on it because it kept floating to the top. Not sure how long it will last but if it makes it through 1 winter I've gotten my monies worth.
Exactly as described, quick delivery, and made in USA
A 1 inch section of the cord is all that got warm. Doesn't heat up at all!
