Farm Innovators PS-200 Heated Pond Saucer De-icer 200 Watts

Purchased it for my 8'X 8' fish pond. I live in Colorado so we do have very cold weather. I tested this deicer by put it in the freezer for 30 minutes then plugged in electrical outlet for 2 to 5 minutes. The bottom gets warm every time. It's low profile in the shape of Lotus leaf matches with my natural Lotus plants.

I did try it out and it does work, I just can't wait to see how well it keep the pond from completely freezing. I want to try it with my chickens waterers as well! works good, melted thru 6" of ice to the water level in less then 12 hours in single digit temps, so far so good!!

Seems well built, and sturdy. Since this is a pond heater, it should be AOK in the crappiest of weather. I'm using this to keep my chicken waterer unfrozen in the harsh Chicago winters, so far so good. The internal thermostat should also save money by turning it on and off as necessary.

I have a small pond in my backyard that we recently expanded, the saucer is light weight and a green shade that should somewhat camouflage with the lily pads and other shrubbery. Directions are easy and straight forward. Once the winter hits, i expect to save a little bit of money, and more importantly have my fish survive the winter, while implementing the saucer into my pond regimen.

Light weight thin floats well. It looks nice not such a eye sore.

the directions warn against placing in the water, which is why I bought it.
