I like Pork Sausage. These links are not overly spicey so you can use them in many quick dishes. Today I prepared 2, cut the length wise and put them on soft fried corn tortillas, with tomato, onion, lettuce and homemake taco sauce. Was darn good.
Their the same taste and size as they were before. Meaning since Covid so many Co have been making their products smaller than before, not Farmer John.
I cook these at the 350 degree setting on my air fryer for about 6 minutes, turn them over for another 6 minutes or so and finally for 1-2 minutes at 400. They come out just right, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside and most of the fat drained off.
The Farmer John link sausage have a very good flavor. I enjoy cooking them frequently for a flavor upgrade to my regular eggs/toast breakfast. With any pork item you must follow adequate cooking times. I like the Walmart Curb Pick Up and have used it at least once a week. The people who bring your grocery order to your car are especially nice. One young man, Rami has helped several times. He always thanks me for my order and for shopping at the Walmart Neighborhood Store.
The same item at bargain market is $1.19
Used to eat these UNTIL trying the Johnsville brand in the links. What a difference in taste but mainly the texture. Not uncommon to get small pieces of grizzle or such in these links. I guess it would BE like -- comparing an 80/20% beef mix to an 93/7% ground beef mix.
Not much into cooking these days. Wanted to try pigs in a blanket but still needed to cook first. Thought i could put them in the oven to cook but, it didn’t work out. These still have the flavor needede
I used to love these sausages. The last few batches were not as well prepared. The last time, I bit into one of the sausages that had a piece of bone in it. That chipped one of my teeth. Unless you are willing to take a chance on a large dental bill, pass on these.
They were very rotten by the second day
They sold me an expired date of March 30 2026 and I can't use this!
