This is a great value for the amount of pork chops you get I made pork chops out of them I have a stomach issue I can have zero fat so I cut all the fat off of it and I get 9 to 10 very thick cut pork chops out of it for $11 you just can't beat that and they're very good and my tummy agrees so that's the best part.

Love this pork loin roast at Walmart! I cut it into chops and small, 2-serving roasts then freeze them in dinner sized portions. The price is fantastic, 3 pork chops from this roast, a bag of Marketside fresh green beans, a package of yellow rice, and the Marketside Spinach %26 Spring Mix for a salad, makes for a quick, healthy, filling dinner that serves 3-4 people for less than $2 serving.

Great value!

I got 2 pork roasts by cutting this in half. I have also learned that you can cut your own chops to desired thickness. At about 1/2-1/3 of the cost of buying them already cut at the grocery. This is a great way to save money while feeding your family for days...after you cook your pork loin and eat as is (with marinade or rub), you can look up recipes to keep it interesting...casseroles, pastas, stir fries, fried rice etc. Just make sure you have a decent knife. I used a Henkel knife that I bought for $17 at Macy's. It's from their budget line, but it works well for this purpose.

Farmer John Pork Roast Is The Best 🤎

Patti November 7, 2025

Delicious! Way less fat than Walmarts picture shows. I cut up the very large roast 3 ways. 2 smaller roasts tp put in the crockpot at a later date. Then cut 4oz pieces to make pork chops. I used Shake n Bake Extra Crispy on them. The pork chops came out super tender and moist, not dry at all. Then I froze the rest of the Pork Chops and Roasts for some more great dinners. Pictures show a cooked Pork Chop made with Shake n Bake Extra Crispy, and Chops frozen in my freezer. Ready for another meal. I think buying the pork this way saves you money by cutting it up your self.

I like buying the pork loins like this because I can cut them to the thickness that I want and package them up and freeze them.

Overcharging meats

helen December 23, 2023

When I placed the online order, the price was $1.94 per lb. When I receiced the order, the package showed the price as $2.34 per lb, the weight was 4.91 lb. As I calculated the final price, it should've been $1.94x 4.91 lb = $9.53. I was charged $11.49, an over charge of $1.95. Walmart should pay more attention to the price and weight of the meats they charge the customers.

You ripped me off !

SHOdude October 2, 2023

Other shoppers should know that this roast showed a price of $1.94 a pound when placed in my online curbside pickup shopping cart. When I got home and placing it in the fridge, I looked at the label and it was marked $2.34 a pound and that is what I was charged;, $0.40 a pound MORE. than what it was shown to be on my 5 lb roast. WHY ??? WHY ??? WHY??? That is a blatantly deceptive ripoff. My recourse is that I request (borderline demand) 3 things: the first, an explanation. the second, an apology. and finally, a COMPLETE REFUND on the roast as a penalty on you for this egregious act. So customers, check that prices charged are what they are shown to be and not increased at check out.
