This pork shoulder roast is perfect. However, it's the substitution for a larger pork shoulder %26 I got a much smaller roast than I wanted. I ordered a second pork shoulder so I ened up with about 8lbs which will work nicely for pulled pork. It sure would be nice, on meet %26 veggies, if we could somehow select the number of pounds we want to buy so we get what we need.
there was nothing bad about these ribs! Excellent quality, cooks to perfection and stands up to smoking really well. They did not dry out when cooking, and low and slow makes for great ribs
I purchased a beautiful pork roast to make into posole, Mexican pork stew that includes hominy (also from Walmart). Was very pleased with the delicious results and received many compliments from my guests.
I haven't tasted this picnic roast yet, but I eat them pretty often during the year so I didn't read it any stars on it but maybe I should've because they're good.
Long-cooked with beans and molasses with brown sugar (and other spices), made an easy and delicious meal for hungry guys working on my house! Will definitely buy this again!
Although this has good flavor, it had two negatives. This is the second time I've received it as a substitute for another roast. This one is well marbles, but it also has a significant layer of fat. This time, the bone was HUGE. The yield was disappointing. I'll keep trying to order a boneless pork roast. I made this in my slow cooker and made pulled pork. It wasn't what I intended to do when I was ordering, but pulled pork was the only thing that worked for me with this cut. I ordered this for delivery, which doesn't allow for comments regarding preferences.
I used this meat exactly 1 day after buying. The seal was not broken anywhere, but upon opening, it immediately reeked of a strong porky, most likely spoiled smell. Unusable and total waste of money. If you're looking to save money and get this cut of meat from this brand, don't. The pork steaks from Walmart are tolerable but still not ideal. Just buy your pork from literally any other grocery store.
Almost all fat. It arrived with a huge fat cap which is ok but turns out the fat was throughout the entire roast. There was precious little meat, almost entirely bone and fat. A complete waste of money.
I received this from Wallys and it was rotten in the package. I was told meat was nonrefundable. So in the trash it went and I took it in the RUMP.
know meat all fat the worst roast I've ever had nothing was eatable extremely disappointing especially as high as meat is nowadays I'm disabled I rely on the meat that I can get and I couldn't even eat that roast
