This sausage is really good. I use it to make breakfast muffins because it has more flavor than the other brands. Also make patties for bagel and egg sandwiches. It does have a lot of grease so make sure and drain it well. The grease can be used to make sausage gravy for biscuits and gravy too. We buy it a lot a freeze it for future use.
1st time trying this brand and I got hooked on it! This is 1 of the best breakfast sausages I've tried and I'm surprised on how much this 1 lil roll made I bought 2 and since its just 2 of us I packaged it into 3's. Turned out to be the best purchase for my sausage egg cheese breakfast burritos! You can't beat the price either.
I can recommend this sausage as long as you use it well before the expiration or best if used by date. I live on a limited income so tend to buy products with their expiration dates as far out as possible. I only grocery shop one day a month so what I buy has to last me a full month. This sausage while very good does not last as long as it's expiration date before it starts to sour. I have taken to portioning out my monthly supply and wrapping it and freezing it.
recommended only because it may be all you can afford, and thats ok. (Thank you for that Mr. President). it is OK and will sufice. but is a low quality, cheaply produced sausage with minimal flavor qualiies but it is what it is and you have to do what you have to do to feed your family the best you can on what budget you have to work with.
This has A LOT of huge white pieces of fat. It's also quite salty for some reason. I buy it on sale because we are on a budget and I cannot find make any number of breakfast dishes with it- mainly breakfast sandwiches, bakes and wraps. With your preferred seasonings it's a good choice if you're watching your grocery bill, too.
This sausage is swapped out occasionally when our preferred selection is not available and we don't cancel it in time. I don't even know how the company is able to present this sausage as food for human consumption. I'm pretty sure their fat/lean meat ratio is backwards. It's essentially a roll of fat with about 20% lean meat added to it. It's beyond disgusting!!!
this was the worst thing i've ever purchased in my life im not even joking i bought it save money and be cheap i would literally rather die than buy this every in my life again like please do not buy this. I was cooking it and was like hmmm why isn't it like browning it took 20 years and like atp I WANNA CRY
This is not for me!!!! I use Great Value and Jimmy Dean for my sausage balls, but for some reason, even after I add replacements and then no replacements, I still get this twice now cause I don't watch my phone like a hawk! I feel if I put subs in, then I should not have to worry about them straying off the beaten path and given what i do not want!,It has ruined my sausage balls batch the two attempts I tried using it! Maybe you might have better lucky with it, but I wish they would quit subbing it
This was the most sour tasting sausage I've ever had. My son ended up throwing up from it. Daughter wouldn't touch it, I stopped eating it after 2nd bite ( we made biscuits and gravy.. so entire meal ruined)... We've bought it 3x's before.. the other 2 times my daughter wouldn't eat it, either.. it was ok those first times, very greasy.. but ok....NEVER AGAIN WILL I GET THIS!
This is the worst pork sausage I have ever seen. Isn't pork sausage supposed to be pink? When I removed the wrapper all I saw was white congealed fat. I started to brown it and it was more grease than meat. I threw it out. The Farmland bacon is almost as bad. I will not buy any farmland products.
