I am giving this to an elderly mare. Have tried all the different products on store shelves and the Horshoers Secret Hoof and Connective Tissue supplement is the only one that gave her relief. And she has improving hoof growth. She has been on the Horseshoer's Secret for 7 months.
This is a great product. I have a 27 year old mare who will have a quarter crack and soft feet without this. I keep her on this and you can't see any signs of a crack and her feet or not brittle.
This supplement is a good one. My new horse is working on growing out some contrated heels. Shoes came off in November. Ground is frozen and temps of around 0 lately and horse is moving well and barefoot. Have been feeding since September when I got him. This is a stand out supplement from the others out there.
I bought this one month ago Bc my 2 year old was Copper deficient and had turned from dark bay almost black to red and had severe scratches. His coat is black and gorgeous again and his scratches are healed. His feet have always been good so can't comment on that but I am very pleased with these results. My trainer recommended it for this reason alone and I can't believe how it worked!
Started my horse on this one month ago. So far so good, his feet look nice and this seems to be helping.
Bought this a couple weeks ago and while it has a strong smell the horses love it.
I clearly didn't read the ingredients to the end. I opened the bag and was surprised to see that the stuff is bright red. So I looked, and sure enough, FD&C Red No.40. WHY would I feed that to my horse every day and WHY would anyone needlessly put it in a supplement? No thanks. There are other supplements free of artificial colors and flavor enhancers. Oh, and fungicides like propionic acid. No thanks.
My horse hates it ,appetite killer. I am not using it anymore. It has a terrible odor.
I sure get tired of spending $40 for a product that my horse can't stand. Done with Farnam!
