[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Repel-X has been a reliable product in keeping flies away from the horses. Some horses are particular, however, calmly communicating their preference to not be sprayed with pesticide while not minding a non-pesticide fly spray. It is interesting to observe. All-in-all, Repel-X is a good performing fly spray.

I never like telling about what I do not like about a product. This works great for a contact kill for flies. But I came back about 2 hours later and I had never in my life seen that many flies covering that area so thick I couldn't even walk thru until I sprayed a second time which it killed the most of them again. It was dark the next time I went and checked and the cool air had not drawn any out. If tomorrow I do not see any flies I will apologize about this review but it seems to have an attractive that kicks in a bit after it's introduced to the area. I would not advise this product and I truly am sorry I cannot in good faith say it helps. In fact it seems to be just the opposite.

I wondered why this wasn't working. It only has pyrethrin, which degrades in sunlight. You need a spray combo with permethrin. Also, the label says 7:1 dilution but did not explain that for HORSE FLIES you need a 4:1 dilution.
