We have goats, sheep and donkeys - We have an abundance of flies every spring, I hate flies they are so nasty, I use this stuff and it works awesome- it stinks after a few days because of how many flies were attracted to it but it works Do not place anywhere near the house - let them be attracted to go further out.
The flies love the stuff. I do think the price is good value. I have shared the reusable containers and the bate with several of my neighbors they like them to.
This bait refill works really well. You need the refillable, reusable traps to start with. But these refills will keep the flies away. I live in a rural area where cattle and commercial chicken houses are very close. I had a very bad fly issue until I started using these traps and the refills. I really love them.
works Great
So, know that this stuff works really well. When you put this outside, it attracts every fly in the neighborhood to their doom. But because it works, it smells truly awful. You will want to out this stuff as far from your doors and windows as you can.
works well
We use multiple methods of fly control on our property...fly predators really seem to help, along with fly sprays, sheets & masks. I also stumbled upon these traps, as I saw them when I was ordering my fly predators. I know that even though fly predators work, they do not eliminate flies 100%. Our hay field borders our pastures and barn, and after our hay gets cut, we always seem to get an influx of flies! We decided to try out these traps, and I am SO glad that we did! You simply mix up a tube of fly pheromone that is included with the trap with water, and hang somewhere that you have a high amount of fly traffic--around the barn, or near your muck pile. It sat empty for 1-2 weeks, and I was discouraged. But, seemingly overnight, we had many, many flies going into the trap! It got to the point that there was probably a 2 inch layer of flies in the trap, and more were buzzing around the top to go in! I have to say, the smell when you empty the trap is quite terrible, but you are rid of a WHOLE LOT of flies! There are refills available of the pheromone tubes, and make sure that you do not try to stretch the refills & use less per fly trap...this does not work as well and seems to attract less flies. Definitely worth the investment to help control flies - but make sure to give it a chance, because in my case I didn't see immediate results, but after a couple of weeks, the trap seemed to work really well!
I actually didn't receive these but have used them in the past. They work really well, but put them where you won't smell it.
It does not seem to be working I have purchased before and it worked great. not this time
I tried this as a substitute for the Rescue brand refills in several Rescue brand reusable fly traps. The Rescue brand attracts flies in hours. This product didn't after days. I returned it. I may have purchased an expired batch. Didn't check the expiry date.
