Farnam Vetrolin Shine Refill 64oz

I am a confessed fanatic when it comes to my horse's appearance. While they are young and in training, they are working to be the "part", they are most certainly going to look the part. I have tried and use everything at my disposal, Shapleys, Showsheen, Cowboy, Pepi, you name- it I love it. I was looking for something that had a sun protectant in it so I thought I would try the Vetrolin. HOLY SMOKES my little black beauty come out with an amazing, non-gunky, mirror shine finish. I like that you can spray for tail detangling and the tail doesn't feel overly dry after conditioning.

I'm a vet and this is what I use on my horse every time I groom. Vetrolin Shine has really delivered! It gives my thoroughbred's coats a beautiful shine and keeps his mane and tail lying flat and SO easy to brush out. With continued use it's helped him repel dust and keep his tail tangle free. It smells slightly medicinal out of the bottle but once you spray it, it just smells fresh. The spray doesn't attract insects, isn't greasy and won't make your tack slip.

So my horse was gelded at 5 and looking at the pictures I'm like ugh he's not as shiny anymore. Not a problem anymore! I've tried cowboy magic show sheen so on so forth and it only works like magic the first couple times. This works every time. It's amazing! And more then just shine. It's helpful for his easy to burn skin and it repels the didt a lot more then other products say they will, also a great detangler! And it's cheap! I was so sure it'd be a waste of 10 bucks but it's not. Buy it. Skip the other stuff because my gelding is now shinier then he ever was as a stallion! A must for shows and for daily care.

I've tried other brands in same category, but keep coming back to Vetrolin. It's not too slick like some (so doesn't give the highest sheen if you want a show finish), but for day to day, I feel like it conditions the coat, reduces static, doesn't attract dirt and I love the smell of their products. I like to use their shampoo and conditioner too, but unfortunately the conditioner is really hard to find.

This has been my go to de-tangler for almost 2 years now. I think it works better than Show Sheen, and it's less greasy. I also love that it has sunscreen in it. On my mare's body it helps to keep the dirt off (which is super helpful since she's a palomino!), and I'm able to breeze through brushing her mane and tail when I spray it on beforehand. I find wayyy less hair left in my brush too when I use it. Definitely worth it - I promise!

I use Vetrolin Shine daily for detangling my horse's mane and tail. It works great, and I love the fresh Vetrolin scent. I find that it doesn't leave a slick residue like some of the other detangling/shine products I've tried in the past. This product is a great value, and I find that even with daily use, a bottle lasts 3-6 months.

I really love this product! It's a wonderful detangler if you spray and let it sit for a few minutes before combing through the mane/tail. I've had far less breakage using this method. I also love using it to knock the dustt off of both short summer coats and long winter coats. I groom regularly with a curry and stiff brush before spraying this product directly onto a soft brush and finishing the coats. Great shine, soft coats, and pleasant scent.

I bought this hearing it was better than show sheen and IT IS. It smells great and leaves my horse soft and shiny. The only this is you should be careful because it can leave them oily

It has that good Vetrolin smell, but I really could not detect any detangling benefit.

Have used this for several years and LOVE it. But...the last bottle separated into liquid and mush,y oily substance on top. I could not shake it into solution. Looked like PAM when sprayed on! A nightmare on the hair..had to bathe and shampoo to remove. Probably was old and emulsifiers no longer worked. I will try again.
