I purchased two of these dressers in the walnut finish to use as night stands. Judging by the inconsistent and fairly negative reviews available at the time I purchased them, I was pretty apprehensive about the quality and ease of construction. My husband and I worked together to build. He built the outside and I put together the drawers. To build both, it took about two hours. The instructions were pretty well done and easy to follow and the end result seems very sturdy. I don't really understand why some folks are complaining that they are wobbly or unstable. I would venture to guess that they didn't assemble them correctly if that is the case. I would also like to note that the drawers close perfectly - none of them are difficult to close and none of them sit ajar due to construction. The color of the finish is slightly darker than the picture on the site, but very close. I feel like it's a true walnut finish, based on my experience. The hardware is simple, but metal - feels quality. Another reviewer mentioned that the drawers were lined with linen - this is not true. The inside and sides of the drawers have a linen like print or finish to them. From a distance, one may think they are linen, but there is no fabric in or on the drawers. All in all, I would recommend these to a friend. For a manufactured wood product, I think they are well done and should last a long time with the proper care. The size and look is as expected, and the price was fair compared to similar pieces nowadays. They also arrived quickly and without damage. Maybe weird to note, but they also don't have a weird smell to them. I've purchased other similar pieces from other retailers in the past that had such a strong chemical odor that it transferred to my clothing and I ultimately had to return them. Please don't get too hung up on the negative reviews. I think some folks may have not taken their time and followed the instructions. This are great little dressers!
I love this end table. But my issue is I have been waiting for months for it to come back in stock as I need another one. Can anyone help me and when will it be back in stock so I can reorder
Really solid, quality piece especially for the price
assembly was very ease jokes aligned precisely!
Love the size and how it looks. The drawers were kinda hard to open and close in the beginning but now they're fine. We had to bend the part in between the drawers a little bit to make it work.
Overall the product is of value for the price paid. It looks higher end than paid, but the drawer quality is my only negative. My husband had to realign the second drawer on both dressers because the drawer would not shut. Moving the drawers in and out is a little hard due to quality. Again the look is great and they will work. Happy overall.
I really don't feel excited about this little dresser. It's just okay. Once I put it together, I liked the look of it. It's pretty heavy and sturdy. Some reviewers said that they had trouble with drawers closing or matching up evenly. I did not have that problem. My drawers lined up just fine. I will say that the drawers are not smooth closing, they're jerky. To fix this, I am going to try to rub a little wax in the drawer sliders. Just take a little piece of hard wax from a tea light and run it along the rails where the wheel rolls. The box that the dresser arrived in was in good shape with no tears or rips; however, when I opened the box, one of the side pieces had a huge gouge in it. See pic. I used a Minwax pen to color in the gouge and, luckily, the gouge is on the inside of the dresser. The pieces are dirty, dust all over, so make sure you have a rag to wipe the furniture pieces. Some of the finish was already scraped off the edges of the drawers. See pic. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. Just be really careful because the mdf cracks easy. Also, be very careful about screwing in the drawer sliders. This is what determines is you'll have a level drawer. It took me a couple of hours to assemble. I'm still feeling just okay about it. I am not using this piece in a place where it will get a lot of use, so it should be fine. I just cannot see it being something sturdy enough for kids or everyday opening/closing.
Overall product feels like good quality except for the bottom parts of the drawers which bend to weight easily. They warped slightly while i was assembling it. One of the sides of my drawer doesn't have holes to put screws in so i cant even make that top drawer. There is a weird gap in the back of the main frame about an inch long and goes all the way across horizontally as if they cut it too short. The screws used are pretty long sticking out so if you cant screw in perfectly straight, you're going to have to wrestle it and redo it until you get it.
Absolutely horrible. Two out of the three drawers don't close after assembly. It's a completely defective item. All of the holes were pre-drilled, so I put it together correctly. The wood on the outside of the drawers is just cut unevenly so they don't close. So disappointing. Also Walmart is requiring that I disassemble the item in order to return it for a refund. They refused a refund otherwise. Absolutely ridiculous after I wasted my time assembling this defective item. I intend to cancel my Walmart membership. Such poor customer service.
I am pretty good at assembling furniture, but my husband and I have been assembling this bed for 7 hours and are still not finished yet. The instructions are incredibly confusing, marked with tiny numbers. There are parts that are mislabeled or poorly put together. The stairs do not seem sturdy. My son hasn't used it yet but I'm afraid they may break.
