I don't have a before photo, but the scorched residue was bad enough to leave behind black marks on my test shirt. I bought this because it's pretty much the only product out there that I know of that actually works. My ironhas that new mirror finish again and glides over my clothes. This stuff works! I had glue on my iron from using iron on facing. This product cleaned it off pretty easily. You do need a throwaway piece of fabric/towel to absorb the “gunk” you are cleaning off. Makes your iron nice and smooth again.

Saved my older, very expensive Rowenta iron!!! Bottom was scorched beyond my ability. This took almost everything off the bottom plate.
